Best part about this thread is people are fighting over False River of all places

By looking at the satellite photo that was posted, looks like you need about 8 more feet of water to fish some of the docks.

Boom.

https://www.kplctv.com/2019/05/23/wildlife-fisheries-reminds-public-proper-fishermen-etiquette/

quote:

The problem starts with brush piles, people make them, then drop them in the lake to use as artificial reefs. These artificial reefs attract fish. But despite whoever works on them once they hit the water, it’s considered public.

quote:

“If you see somebody fishing having a good time enjoying their self you know, just, it’s a big lake," LaBauve said. "Maybe go and try another place to fish.”

quote:

“If there is someone there fishing, they cannot cause them to leave for any reason," Sergeant Mitchell said. "As far as harassment is concerned; when you read the charge that we charged it’s even ‘causing someone to loose their enjoyment while fishing outdoors.' ”

Is this a public or private body of water?

It might be fun to spend a night "fishing" the lake and marking all of HIS honey holes for him.

A bag of pink party balloons, an air tank, a mess of weights or other anchoring means, a few feet of old fishing line.

The anchor lines can be prepared in advance by pre-cutting them to length, folding them double, and then starting at the center of the loop, roll the lines around the some of the wife's supply of empty toilet paper cores. With the anchor attached to one end of the string and the balloon tied to the other, you can just pitch them over the side and they will unroll themselves due to the weight of the anchoring means.

Blow up the balloons and mark "PRIVATE" on each one with a magic marker. After tying the lines to the balloons, pitch the balloons with anchors in the middle of his brush piles.

Rise early and sit on the porch with your coffee waiting for the fun.

But seriously OP, this would be hilarious and teach some lessons less sadistic than what I proposed.

Is this the OB equivalent of the pool board thread? I feel like there's still more life left in it.

A lot of lurkers are seeing this.

Hopefully they join.

Entitled people need to be humbled.

If anyone hasn't read the thread there are GPS coordinates of brush piles posted. Enjoy!

I'll bump this thread in the future. We must get the word out.

This is the exact same stupid shite that’s been going on for years on Catahoula Lake with duck blinds.

If you make an improvement to a public spot that improvement just became public.

If you don’t want someone fishing your piles don’t put the shite in a public lake.
