Mickey browns in Houma
I brought mine to Robert Taylor in Gonzales yesterday to make burritos out of and today I heard that he gets them made by Mickey Brown (not sure if true)

I tried Bergeron's this year. I would not recommend if they're on your radar.

... you don't make you own burritos ?

Forgot which OB’er it was, but he posted his recipe/technique a while back and I made a couple bathed at home. They came out awesome.
One trick I use is to lay them out on a cookie sheet and freeze them, then vacuum pack them individually. It keeps them from flattening out. You can pop 1 in the micro for about 1:30 and they’re a quick meal or snack.

Mickey Browns in Houma makes the best. You can even buy his regular beef ones at Rouses pending where you live.

It always blows my mind how few people make their own frozen deer burritos and instead pay a fortune for them. Ever had taco night at the house? You can do it then.
-Brown ground deer meat
-Add taco seasoning
-Lay out large tortilla
-Add a scoop of meat and a dollup of nacho cheese
-Wrap up burrito
-Fry in pan on both sides with a little oil to seal it up and make it look nice
-Put burritos on baking sheet and place in freezer for a while
-Remove from freezer and vacuum seal them

I think I posted my recipe for deer burritos awhile back. I’ll find it and post again.

Not True. When I dropped deer off he had jambalaya pots browning off meat and three or workers inside rolling.

Good to hear, I have had Mickey browns and like them but was wanting something different to try
That process does not sound conducive to getting your own meat back?? Oh well

Throw a few black beans in there. My biggest problem when I’m making them in my house is half don’t make it to the freezer.
