Cordless Lawn tool systems

What's the best cordless lawn tool system to buy. I'm about to buy a string trimmer and I want to make sure I can expand to other tools and use the same batteries. I'll probably expand to the standard stuff like edger, blower, maybe chainsaw. Ryobi? EGo?

I went greenworks and have not had but one failure.
I took the weed eater back to lowes and they said go get another.
The blower and chainsaw are just what I need.

I bought my wife an EGO 765 blower with the 5ah battery for use around the pool since she doesn't like and has issues starting the gas one. I'll say it is surprisingly powerful and the battery last longer than I thought it would. If I added any other equipment such as edger or weed eater, I'd probably get another battery but probably won't as I have all gas powered equipment.

You could buy stihl and not worry about it. My neighbor has the hedgetrimmers and I borrowed them last week. I was going to buy some until I realized they are $250! But they are very nice.

Have the stihl hedge trimmers and blower and I’m very happy. I need a mower next

Ego is my vote. I have a weed eater and blower and they both do everything I need them to do.

If you are just regular Weekend warrior type(like me) that use tools every now and then go Ryobi. They are not the best but will suit you just fine.
They offer the most products with their battery systems and Homedepot is always having sales. Ryobi days is going on right now so you extra batteries and tools with combo purchases.
I will not buy another brand only because it is different battery system. I bought Ryobi know that other brands could be better but I am ok with working good vs working best.

I have dewalt weed eater and blower. Love em and I don’t need multiple chargers/battery types. The same batteries work in all of my power tools. I’ve had one battery failure but they have took care of it immediately AND it was part of a 2 pack so they sent me another 2 pack. Now I have an extra.

Makita is your best option if you want the batteries to work with other tools. They have more cordless tools than anyone on the planet. Stihl gas is great but their cordless tools are like baby toys.

I now have two, both the lowes Kobalt brand 40 volt. Just for home use. I have the weedeater and edger. Have had them for about 2 months now, no issues. I weed eat fencing around 2 acres, and run the edger with one charge. I only have the one battery currently.

I was fixing to get the EGO but a dude on the H&G board said the Ryobi supports the Attach-It accessories so going the Ryobi route.

I have ego. My battery is crapping out but it's been a few years. New ones aren't cheap.

80v Kobalt trimmer and a blower attachment. Corner lot so I have lots of edge, but usually I have enough juice to finish edging and blowing in 1 charge. First battery failed one winter while sitting, but they sent a replacement.

I have an EGo weed trimmer, blower and chainsaw. All work very well. Don't leave any of that stuff in the rain. I destroyed a 56 volt battery that way. They cost $250. That's the reason why I both the blower. To get a new battery and another tool.

I borrowed a stihl battery powered blower last week and it ran out of juice in about 20 minutes. It was fully charged before I began. That and the fact that it’s not as powerful as a gasoline powered unit has me wondering if they are there yet.

I’ve got the M18 Milwaukee trimmer, blower, head trimmers & others. Love them all! You will need the #8 battery for the blower.

I just bought whatever matched my drill(dewalt). I only use mine for small projects and quick work.
I keep battery powered at my house but have a lawn crew and I have gas powered for the ranch. I’m sure some of the more dedicated battery powered lawn tool equipment may work better than dewalt but for a small yard and light use I’d rather have it match the drill set.
