Attorney in world watched Rittenhouse trial claims rifles not left/right handed

Yep, the state attorney in the closing rebuttal stated Def. Attorney lied when he stated that due to ejection of hot hulls , rifles were designed to be either right or left handed. He also went on to say that the use of full metal jacket rounds was designed to inflict more damage than others. Folks know that fmj rounds tend to pass through while hollow points tend to fragment

What an absolute, out and out lie that should have been cut off by the judge. But there was probably nobody in the entire courtroom that knew it was a fabrication except Rittenhouse himself.

I have not watched the trial
I watched the prosecutors closing arguments and they were completely full of out right lies.
How can a jury come to a just conclusion when they’re being lied to on most every point.

Did you know hollow points explode?

Well being a left handed shooter and shooting mostly right handed guns my whole life I can say he’s partially correct. Nothing sucks worse than hot brass in the crook of your arm!
But yeah dude looks and sounds like a moron, I saw pics of him pointing the gun with his finger on the trigger.
And if they think ol boy with the spaghetti arm looked bad with them FMJs they would have been flabbergasted if he would have shot them with some fusions or groundhog bullets at that range

A firearms expert would have been nice in this trial, just based on issues raised.
AR-15 rifles ARE generally "right handed". Modern examples typically have a built in brass deflector to protect lefties (and to give a consistent ejection angle for brass, generally). You can add things like ambidextrous safeties and charging handles.
All the crazy testimony about bullets and "steel jacketed" (quote by judge on facts not in evidence, at least not in presence of the jury, thankfully) shows the absolute dearth of knowledge about firearms. Their close proximity to Chicago and rural, hunting Wisconsin suggests it shouldn't be that bad there.

If one side lies, the other side has an opportunity to show the jury the lies.

How was the defense's closing argument?
Posted on 11/15/21 at 8:20 pm to Trevaylin
full metal jacket sounds scarier to a lot of people

I used full metal jacket on turkeys. While head shot preferred out to a hundred yards. I could take a turkey at 140 by butt shooting. A larger target, did not bounce like a head, and the damage was limited to the gizzard

I watch a good bit of the trial. They did a deep dive into "Scary bullets" when Kyle was on the stand. I kept waiting for the prosecutor to make the jump from FMJ to Hollow point "defense" rounds. I could hear it going like this, "If you were trying to defend yourself, why didn't you use hollow point bullets?"
Thankfully, they were too stupid to draw the conclusion....

It might have been an ammo availability issue - FMJ 223 and 556 is pretty easy to find, but some specialty rounds are in short supply.

I would say most rifles are righthanded which is why I built my own AR-15 bc I shoot long guns lefthanded. Yes you can find lefthanded long guns but it was easier to build my own....until my boat accident of course.

How does this tie into the trial?

This idiot prosecutor has obviously never heard of Stag Arms, which is probably the largest maker of left handed ARs.
You’d think he would have a duty to do some research before spouting off his suckhole.

Left-handed guns aren't for left-handed people. They're for people who are left-eye dominant.

I liked how they kept saying you had a Ar15! Why were you scared for your life because bicep guy had a little Ole glock. Lol
And why not drop your gun and fight the mob like a real man with your fists! You didn't have to shot.

We know he's corrupt and justifies like a woman but the defense should've had an expert on their witness list like the Attorney above said so.
That would've kept the scale of bs spewed by the ADA a bit smaller.

Those MSR federal fusions are a nasty round.
