It's against the law in South Carolina.

I always blow by them and cut right in front of them. They wake up then.

Michigan fines the hell out of truckers if they drive in the passing lane.

It is in Colorado and other states as well but I've never heard of anyone ever being pulled over much less ticketed for it.

Well when they fix the roads then i will drive in the right Lane, until then the left lane is smoother so i will camp out there

Same here. I don't go slow in the left lane though. Last weekend I drove down and back up I65 in Alabama, and had my cruise set to 85. Still had people going faster than me. I'll move over if I see them coming and the right lane is available, but if I'm passing a line of cars while going 85, I'm not moving over and risk getting caught in the slow lane.

Thankfully it was just my boys and I on the trip, and they don't care how I drive. When the wife is with me, it is always something I'm doing wrong. I drive 85-90 and its slow down you're going to get a ticket. I drive 75-80 and its we're never going to get there. I drive in the left lane and someone passes on the right its you should move over and not campout. I drive the right lane and the road is too bumpy for her liking and I should pick a smoother lane. If I pass a Semi she thinks I should accelerate because she doesn't like riding next to them and wants me to pass very quickly. If I'm passing a car and speed up there's a comment about driving too fast. Never ends.

I think it's against the law a lot of places, but never enforced.

The real reason most do it is that it’s easier to be on your phone in the left hand lane. Usually no one is breaking in front of you like the right lane for a turn or merging traffic. And if they go the speed limit, almost a guarantee that no one will be in front of you turning left either.

I'll add this to the bitch fest:

People who leave 2 car lengths between them and the car in front of them. Most of the time it is because they are looking down at their phone and lose all depth perception and think they are much closer than they are. I love swooping in front of them when I can.

It's a law most places. It's never enforced because it's hard for cops to catch it in the act.

Yes, sometimes I count on someone doing this when I need to change lanes.

but this becomes a problem when it's snowing and you SHOULD leave extra space between cars to allows for longer braking distances; yet it never fails that some asshat will swoop into that gap

I’ve started flipping them off after making eye contact as I pass on the right. The only way these fricks will ever learn.

No No - that I agree with. I'm talking about the asshats at dead stop with 1.5-2+ car lengths between them and the next dead stopped vehicle. It's because they are looking at their phone and can't see how far they are from the vehicle in front of them.
