When discussing this years ago with someone they told me that god gathered the animals for Noah and kept them tame on the arch. My next question was... "So if he was able to do all of that what did he need Noah for?".

Noah, his wife, sons and their wives were also a species saved.

Apparently the Pope has never read The Old Testament. He should.

Are you aware there was a New Testament?

The Pope should be saying this. And our government should ignore it and do what's best for the US

I'm here to condemn the Pope for condemning war. Next thing you know, he will start pointing out other failures of mankind.
It's outrageous.

Apparently, Leo just declared all Crusader Popes heretics, as well as Pope Pius XII.

Eventually opposing factions of the church will engage with the same crisis PR firms that handled the Depp/Heard situation or Lively/Baldoni.

Chicago dud has never read his predecessor's call to action to reclaim the Holy Land. Most know about the Crusades, but maybe he missed it in his Chicago edumacation (sic)

New Testament

For something ultra critical as all humanity’s salvation for eternity, would think God’s word would be precise and crystal clear.

Never understood why God would allow His words to be written by man in the way it was captured in the Bible, such that so many differing interpretations result, by Christians. Its only their salvation for eternity hanging in the balance.

I wonder how many souls are not in heaven as a result of wrong interpretations? Slippery…salvation…non sensical (to me).

Read post that follows this one. Exhibit A.

The Catholic church must be so confused. One Pope blesses wars, the next condemns them, the next blesses them, the next condemns them

Clearly this board continues to not understand the premise of “ex cathedra” as it relates to the Pope and the Catholic Church.

The most consistent stance maintained by the Catholic Church is protection and coverup of their pedo priests.

War is never Blessed by God? Never? I could go with the word "rarely", but never?

It's a nice worldview but I can't say I agree with it.

Not to mention that there are parts left out like the Book of Enoch etc. Who exactly gets to choose what is the "correct" Word of God and what makes them qualified to do so?

I guess the Pope never read the Bible?

God instructs Israel to take possession of Canaan (through conquest) in the Old Testament. The fall of Jericho happens during this period.

That is a lie. The RCC is working very hard to fix the problem, which is a problem that challenges every organization where one might find children.

All churches, all schools, etc. - the pedos join these orgs because that's where the kids are. The orgs need to implement training and rules to protect the kids. In the past, training and rules designed to protect kids existed nowhere. Now we have these tools available to help up protect the kids.

Doesn't change the fact that it could be confusing and seeing that depending on the Pope, they view God's thinking on the matter differently. Whether it's ex cathedra or not.
