That is hilarious as well, and makes no sense. Fall break is the only time students leave campus? What nonsense.

another left wing virtue signaler. He better start looking for another job if he thinks this will fly in Tiger Stadium. The left has really gone mad and living an episode of Southpark.

Gallagan has handled this FAR better than King Alexander, FWIW. As has been noted, he's sharing ideas that are on the table.

LSU and the SEC have been leading the way nationally to make sure that football is played on campus this fall and with fans.

Fukin stupid. Why can’t these so called leaders wait to make a concrete decision when football gets here? But we 4 months out and they already making idiotic suggestions for something that’s 4 months away

They are not making decisions right now.

But it would also be extremely foolish to not be considering possibilities for this fall.

Speaking about football there's a lot of things that need to be in place well in advance. And in this case, he's talking about it being a possibility...not a certainty.

They've got to get players back on campus for workouts and fall practice. Given the restrictions, it isn't as simple as just bringing everyone back.

They also need to have on campus classes in the fall to justify having football games. This will likely require some changes to class sizes. That has to be planned out this summer as teaching loads, classroom availability will be different.

They also want 100k+ in Tiger Stadium this fall. And if the threshold for doing so with the SEC/NCAA (no matter how dumb) is face coverings...well, they'll do it and have a plan in place to do such.

I agree this is all a massive overreaction, but LSU isn't going to earn any points by going all Kenny Powers and saying "frick the virus".

Okay with me. I will be happy to sit in the stadium with my purple and gold mask on.

Plus, even if though do go forward with this (I know at the moment is just a possibility) they more than likely have absolutely no plan on enforcing it.

Does anyone really think LSU is going to have cops running around TS making sure people have masks on? Of course not. Wear it to get through the gate and then take it off.

I’d wear it in line if required to enter the stadium but that shite is getting ripped of the second I get to my seats

Based on the reactions from people when stores started doing this, I guess tickets will be easy to come by this season.

September games are already hot enough without adding a (stupid) mask requirement. People struggle to tolerate the heat, and every year, it seems, a few folks have to be carried out by EMS due to (?)heat exhaustion. That number will exponentially increase if masks are both required and enforced.

And as I'm not a doctor, nurse, EMT, etc, will a mask affect a person's blood oxygen level if forced to inhale your own CO2 for 4 or so hours? We probably inhale some of it already, but wouldn't the amount/percentage rise substantially if a mask is worn for the duration of a game?

Based on the percent positive, in those that attended, of the outbreaks from various choirs, other singing gatherings, and that call center from multiple locations around the world, a large gathering of folks screaming for three hours would be a highly appropriate place to wear a mask.

No one is wearing that stupid shite at a game. We might wear it to get in, but that's it. RTWFU!
