OK, so some of them don't care, but 84 families? Surely one or two would have some ethical genes in their bodies.
People dgaf when it's not their money.

why is there no oversight when it comes to tax payer money?
This is a really good question, and one every govt official should be asked from the the mayor to the governor to the president

It seems obvious this would happen when we dont have fixed healthcare prices. This is no different than hospitals charging $200 for an advil.
It’s actually very different. She specifically targeted tax payer funded programs and revenue. The hospital is negotiating that price with private insurers as well as the government.
And btw I am not defending the hospitals here. I more simply hate health insurance

Honestly, depending on the child’s condition, such as nonverbal level 3 child, those parents would probably just be happy they were getting therapy in the first place.
Don’t put this on the therapist or her business. This is all on the state

This is a legit WYHI.
And the answer is MOST DEFINITELY.
And this smells more like government stupidity than fraud.

OT Moderates will tell you that you are in a cult if you want your tax money audited.

Areest them for fraud and seize the assets. That’s not the norm and they knew it.

Unless she bribed officials to get the contract, I’m not mad at her. Blame the state here. At any point they could have found another provider.
Keep an eye on her for the next 10-20 years. I guarantee there will be a kickback at some point once the public eye has moved on.

The Federal Government doesn't have a spending problem. It has a theft and oversite problem. There needs to be a constitutional convention to add term limits, balanced budgets, and mandated annual audits.

So, you're like Ilhan Omar and should blame the FBI for not catching the Somali fraudsters. Yeah, frick that.

Did the recipient families not notice the billings being obscene on their quarterly accountings?
OK, so some of them don't care, but 84 families? Surely one or two would have some ethical genes in their bodies.
Or are we that warped, nowadays?
Since this is Medicaid the families didn't get a bill. They may have paid a small copay, I don't know Indiana's rules on that, but that would be it. Even if they had private insurance plus Medicaid then Medicaid would have paid anything the insurance didn't cover.

And Dems want Medicare for all. It's pretty unreal.

Do our State and Federal accounting officials audit anything?
I was paired with a guy several years ago at a golf course...In our discussions I found out he worked for that particular state we were in for the food state fraud division. He told me that when the government comes out with free programs they have little intention to catch many commiting fraud. He said his department was so undermanned that they caught less than 15% commiting fraud.

The same type people run these programs.

Just imagine how much grift was skimmed off of this. It's sickening and probably rampant throughout the government across the country
Imagine how many billions could have been uncovered by DOGE? Really wish they would have followed thru but dems wanted to keep their slush fund as seen in Minn so they cried at every turn.

Doesn’t Medicare and rate schedules and billing codes. I know states oversee it but the Fed sets the rates. Someone in Indiana government got paid.

Baw. I got a phone call from the New York Times after I sold a FEMA employee pair of safety shoes for $90 after Katrina. Journalist are supposed to be government watchdogs, now they're just lapdogs.
