You rotate off GT when the round is over.
..and no mulligans!
We had an original GT when I was still bartending in college, and the latches to the controller cover broke when we moved it once. One day I figured out how to put it on free-play and we would switch it after hours.
Shot -28 once rehitting shots from the fairway for double eagles.

Back in the day. I could play one game of Asteroids that could take 4-5 hours. The record high score is 41,338,740 in a 58-hour game.

There are several bars exactly like this in Chicago. They are really fun.

There's one of these about 15 minutes from where I live in north Houston. It's called The Game Preserve and they have a $15 daily rate or monthly membership options.
My son and a few of his friends have had birthday parties there (in the 7-9 year old range). I've also seen adults hanging out there on weekends with their ice chests (it's BYOB).

Also, many pinball machines and (I think) pinball tournaments of some sort.

An arcade like we used to see in Malls back in the 80s, but all the games are free and you pay a flat rate for unlimited play.
DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney used to be like this. I haven't been in like 16 years though.

just 1 try and you gotta wait your turn again?
don't see how that would work. people would monopolize certain games

Same with Kung Fu Saloon. They have locations in Dallas, Houston, and Austin to name a few.

I've thought about getting enough capital and opening a VR Arcade...
The start up would be pricey, but those VR games are getting pretty good

Arcades didn't die because people can't afford quarters. They died because kids no longer needed to go to an arcade to play a video game. Does your idea solve this?

Malls still exist. Online shopping is much easier and cheaper.

We went to something like this in Orlando. Forgot the name of it, but my nephews loved it. I pretty much camped out on the pop-a-shot basketball until i had high score.
