To some, this will be really cool. To others, nightmare fuel.

nightmare fuel.

I can't even ... this violates at least two of my "I'm not going to die this way if I can possibly avoid it" rules: deep water and tight spaces.
In the words of the philosopher kings Hall and Oates, I can't go for that.

If you enjoy this you may want to watch the nutty putty cave accident. Young guy got stuck upside down and passed after hours of trying to rescue him. Terrible way to go.

As someone who has done a decent amount of spelunking and quit a bit of open water diving, it is firmly in the nightmare fuel area for me.

I’ve done tons of open water dives no problem at all. Squeezing in caves though? Thats reserved for the dumbest of people. frick that shite.

Good thing is that it's totally voluntary

Nice to have the cable already there in case the lights go out.

The divers that give me the "willies" are the free divers who dive to incredible depths free style on a single breath.
The world record for men is 832 ft. deep and for women, it is 337 ft. 11 in.
And those numbers are just the one way down. They have to come back up and be conscious when they surface for the record to count. If they black out, even near the surface, the dive does not count.

Why would anyone want to watch this? Hell, why would anyone even want to read the summarization?

Both. I love diving, and I love caves. But that combo = sweaty palms.

Looks like my last colonoscopy video.

Sweaty palms just thinking about it.

I used to work with a guy who did this stuff. He told me about going into places so tight, he had to remove his tank to push it through the hole before following it through the space.
I'm not the least bit claustrophobic but there's is no way in hell I'd do that.

Is there a person inside all that equipment?
Posted on 7/19/26 at 7:39 am to Jim Rockford
Beautiful, but a nope. That looks line a drone? Is there anyone truly skilled and brave enough to do that dive? I made it 3 min watching, lol.

Yall need to look up Edd Sorenson, he goes in caves to save people who get lost at the drop of a hat. Very impressive guy
