A viral video of a woman opening a container of Blue Bell, licking the ice cream and placing the container back in the freezer has been linked to a Walmart in Lufkin, Texas Blue Bell says.

quote:

Blue Bell inspected the freezer where the licking incident took place and said it believes it located the half gallon of Tin Roof that was "tampered with," the statement said.

quote:

She could face a second-degree felony charge of tampering with a consumer product, the Lufkin police department said in an email statement to NBC News. The charge comes with a two- to 20-year prison term and up to $10,000 in fines, according to Texas state penal code.

Searched and didn't see where charges were being officially contemplated. They need to go through with it and charge her with something. Make her pay some serious fines and perform community service.

Blue Bell needs to stop being lazy and add in some tamper resistance on their tubs. Shouldn't be able to just slide the lid off and put it back on.

See what it costs when society is full of dumbasses?

1 thing goes wrong out of a million and the whole system has to be overhauled.

I agree there has to be a severe punishment to send a strong message. We live in a copy-cat world that is driven by social media and viral videos. If this chick gets off with a slap on the wrist, other millennial freaks will be doing the exact same thing with no fear of restitution. Drop the Fk’n hammer on this biitch

Not sure why I'm getting downvoted. IMO< when you have hundreds, if not thousands of people walking by the freezer at Wally World, it's kinda dangerous not to have tamper resistance on foods that go in there.

It seems the least they could do is add in some shrink wrap or something.

Nah, all they gotta do is start cutting tongues off people who do that.

You can kill someone (manslaughter) and not get twenty years. I agree that she needs to taught a lesson, along with the guy egging her on, but 20 years?

I'd be all for her working off her restitution at the Blue Bell factory cleaning the Listeria out of the equipment.

Her fine should be to repay whatever it costs Blue Bell to implement a seal system.. Could be in the millions.

It’s the maximum sentence for fricks sake. Obviously the judge won’t hand down a sentence like that to a first time offender, drama queens.

Not so excessive when you lay dying because someone tampers with a bottle of Tylenol, or Halloween Candy with needles or razor blades in fruit.

What diseases does this woman carry that she could be passing on? And since she did it with specific intent to tamper and pass on to other unsuspecting consumers she deserves the maximum!
