He also has great situational awareness of the game, which you can't teach.

New Orleans very own The Gaturs, featuring Willie Tee … late 60’s early 70’s funk. A former HS coach of mine played drums for them - Larry Panna. The Gaturs were also featured on Soul Train in 1970

he got an Asian pitcher

Did you do ANY research other than looking up where he was born ? Ishikawa played his first year of college baseball in 2024 at the University of Asia in Tokyo, Japan. Came to the States in 2025.

As Project noted, the kid played for Seattle last year as a FR, had great numbers, and entered the portal. Georgia didn't recruit him out of HS, he was signed from the portal.

FYI - here are Ishikawa's pitching statistics for this year.

14.1 IP
1 W and 1 L
21 H
24 R
23 ER
16 BB
20 SO
5 WP
3 HBP
season ERA 14.44

Compared to LSU pitching statistics this year, this kid would be at the bottom of the list in WHIP and ERA if he played for LSU.

MLB teams have invested heavily in scouting networks and academies, especially in Latin America and Asia to identify promising young players. 14-15-year-old kids from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc.... are being recruited and promised to play for MLB teams just like their heroes - Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis, David Ortiz, Manny Machado, Pedro Martinez, Adrian Beltre, Robinson Cano, etc .... MLB also takes care of the VISAS to get these kids into American and part of their farm system.

Butter chicken and bruschetta
Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice.

Was this an honorary degree?

Shaquille O'Neal is currently working on his fifth academic degree. A master's at LSU-to one day become a sports psychologist, inspired by his own struggles during his NBA career when he felt traditional therapists didn't fully understand the pressures athletes face.

By combining academic studies with real-world experience, Shaq aims to help athletes manage performance-related stress more effectively

My late grandmother taught me 2 things in life: Treat people how you wish to be treated and go out of your way to compliment a complete stranger and put a smile on their face. Deep down inside, you never know what someone is struggling with

The degree he earned today … Master's in Liberal Arts / Sports Psychology.
That, and defense attorneys do not want these jobs because it’s a pretty significant reduction in pay. WC judges are paid from $70K to $135K

plan on doing the Pink Lemonade?

He’s recvd hundreds of requests for everything from 5-gallon coolers, water bottles, multiple flavors, glass bottles, merchandise, etc … IMO the business has to crawl before it can walk. Owner has already spent a lot of money without seeing any profit since 10K just launched 1 week ago.

Office of WC

For those in the industry, many already know this. 100% of the current judges presiding over the 10 Louisiana Office of Worker’s Compensation Districts are former plaintiff attorneys who practiced personal injury and/or workers compensation.

Do they render a fair and impartial judgement without personal bias 100% of the time - who knows ? :dunno:
My father passed away from cancer in June 2025. All we’ve shared with the new owner is personal memories and 10K merchandise that we’ve had since 1984 when the product became reality.
Employer (if they choose) can pay injured worker directly and WC will pay all medical bills including diagnostic tests, surgery, therapy, Rx , etc … This rarely happens and I’ve only seen it handled this way a few times. Usually by a family owned business that is very successful financially and the injured worker has many years invested with the insured.
What a state do you reside in … LA, TX ? Other ? Each state is totally different how WC claims are adjusted.

What is your wife’s job title and daily responsibilities? Perhaps the employer values your wife’s work experience and professionalism. They may be wanting to help her out financially by paying her normal salary vs. WC paying her 2/3 of her salary. WC will be responsible for any medical bills incurred as a result of this work injury. Your wife has a right to see her physician (and specialty) of choice. WC also has their right to send your wife to their choice of physicians.

I’ve personally seen it handled both ways … WC payments vs. employer normal paychecks. Lots of variables to factor in this decision by the insured.
1 individual owner who bought the 10K name from DS Waters (parent company that owns Kentwood Spring Water). He hasn’t gone public with his name as I agreed to respect his privacy. Owner reached out to my family since my father created 10K powder and most of the original liquid flavors.
The new owner is working on it, just a matter of time before the ice tea flavor is released.
Ford Country Squire FTW
