HISD is lost. No self-respecting parent would put their kid in a HISD school when there’s better schools in the burbs or they can afford private school.

You could do both; my ex wife enrolled my 5th grader into private school in Katy ISD (the better half of the district.) What a colossal waste of property taxes for over a decade.

doesn’t take long for city councils to ruin a good school district. we watched KLEIN ISD go from a top Texas school district to absolutely in the shitter in 10-12 years. Just had had to build 15 apartment complexes in cow pastures.
