My old Tahoe factory service manual listed it as a "Truck" on the cover page even though there was not one illustration of a truck bed inside. Many of the components and electrical schematics were interchangeable between the two.

I have a buddy that calls his Cherokee a truck. Makes fun of me when I drive my wife’s crossover SUV. He has massive insecurity issues.

I don’t think I ever called my Tahoe a truck even though I could load it up and even do some light towing with it.

I leaned to that direction, but didn’t say anything. The reality is one person was the scapegoat. You have no idea how deep the sin goes. Hell, the entire scheme could have been hatched during a Monday morning meeting…to achieve higher profit margins, and the manager was simply moved to a nearby office as a cover up.

I called them I had a Kia with bad injector and ask if they had a car in there I could borrow parts from.

One time I had a dealership change the spark plugs out in my SUV because they were notorious for breaking off and a pain in the arse to remove if it happened.
Got it home and a check engine light misfire for #3 cylinder happened. The tech forgot to install the screw that holds down the coil.
I go back to the dealership next time I passed close by it. I point it out and ask nicely for a new screw. It’s a special proprietary type screw.
Anyway, the service manager said “How do I know the screw was there when you brought it in?” I said yeah, my con game is getting these special screws for free. Talked to the dealership manager, cussed out his service manager, got a new screw and never went back.
A potential future repair/service customer alienated over a screw.

This is why I still have my Jeep. Easy to work on, don't have to bring it to the stealership.
