No, simply because i think mediums are grifters that prey on emotionally weak people and i wouldnt want to spend my free time watching that.

Memphis is a far better job today in terms of building a consistent winner and competing for the playoffs.
Honestly? I have absolutely zero faith in the Memphis administration. Call it battered fan syndrome or just the life of a G5 school/fan. What we currently have can easily slip through our fingers and we've seen it happen in the past. All of the top tier American schools just lost their coaches and could easily regress to their means. FedEx is committed publicly for a few years and supposedly quietly for a few more after that. With Fred Smith passing its only a matter of time before that well dries up. After that, there arent a bastion of high roller alums to foot the bills and our fan base is probably one of the most wishy washy in the country. Dont win? Wont support it. Unfortunately we dont have the luxury of being able to have a bad 5-10 year stretch like p4 schools.
Long story short, everything we have is held together with duct tape and hope and could come crashing down at any second just like UNLV. Love my school, love my team but its a life of just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

but is Memphis really a better job than where he is now?
Meh, kind of a coin flip right now. UNLV is going to be left behind in the Mountain West though with like half the conference going to the new PAC. Plus UNLV is supposedly broke and there are rumors they cant pay their coaches. Memphis currently has a lot of momentum with a ton of money being pumped in with hopes of getting out of the G5 one day. Hasnt resulted in on the field/court success though.

If tweet fails to load, click here. **Note; kinda out dated with Stein listed
Personally, if Mullen is even a possibility you make that your top priority

The guy's a good recruiter and the players always liked him. Just needs to get a good oc, dc and some killer instinct and yall will be ok.
The guy can recruit and he’s not a bad coach, just boring and could never get over the hump from being decent to really good. Unfortunately Memphis isn’t in a position to keep underperforming with the resources currently being pumped in and the time frame to try and get on the last chopper out of the g5. Is what it is, I wish him well and hope he does good things.

Y’all will win games you shouldn’t and lose games you should win. Perennial 6-6 to 8-4, maybe a 9-3 year in there. Just be ready for some boring and bland football with a lot of wtf moments. One of those guys you can’t justify firing but will be happy when he’s gone

This guy is such a cry baby bitch. Every week he finds some new way to be offended. Go watch the Traylor comments, not what he was saying at all. This is the same guy that got upset that Memphis fans booed his team for faking injuries, saying he had never been in a stadium where they would boo "injured" players yet he was on the coaching staff in Knoxville. If this guy makes to to the SEC, Kiffin might actually make him cry.
Man, the American has the cattiest bunch of coaches ive seen in a while. Between Traylor, Sumrall, Golesh and the North Texas coach we've just got a conference full of bitch made coaches. Not a big fan of Silverfield but at least he doesnt get involved in this kinda nonsense.

I think he is the guy, but he's flying way under the radar.
Legit question, why? Dont get me wrong, hes done a decent job at keeping us relevant but thats about it. We arent competing for conference championships in a vastly inferior league compared to what Norvell coached in. He recruits at a high level but i think that success has more to do with the university's commitment to football the past 10+ years. We've dumped money in to facilities and our NIL dwarfs our conference mates as well as regional G6 teams.
Hes a boring mid energy guy, puts a boring product out on the field and the coaching calls are questionable more times than not. And this is just a pet peeve of mine but the guy was an o-line coach prior but our o-lines since he has been in charge have been awful. This is the first year we have had any semblance of a run game but that is more that we have a mobile qb threat.
The guys is a 8-4, 9-3 type coach and doesnt seem to be able to take that next step. Ill be fine if we are able to keep him but honestly wont be upset if he gets hired away.

These two; food stamps should be like wic. Fruit, veggies, starch, dairy and protein (limited to fish & poultry). End of discussion
If you are going to have these benefits they should be assistance and not handouts. Prove you are actually low income, require drug tests, prove you are taking your kids to the dr and dentist as well as enrolled in school. If you cant do these things then bring back public works projects and start digging ditches.
3D printing, surprisingly. You can get an Ender 3v2 (which is just fine for learning and tooling around with) for super cheap and alot of the slicer programs and a good deal of models are open source and free. PLA filament will run you $15-20 a roll but depending on what your printing a roll can last you a while. Theres a pretty steep learning curve but thats part of the fun, for me at least. Id go as vanilla as possible with your machine and work your way up from there.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their kind words, encouragement and advice. It was definitely needed and greatly appreciated. Even the fella that called me white trash, you’re right, there’s responsibility I bare in the situation and thats why I find myself here asking for advice on the internet. Learn from my mistakes, better myself and ask for help if needed. Any way, thanks again to everyone.

watch their ex completely spiral? If so, how'd you handle it? Not just with your kids but with your self?
A little context; the ex and I have been separated/divorced for a little over 3 years now and I have full custody of the kids. When we separated she basically just left the kids with me to go pursue her "freedom" which, honestly, i was fine with because i wanted nothing to do with her any more. While i was struggling with raising 2 young kids by myself and working a fairly demanding full time job she was out partying and essentially acting like a teenager. The whole time im just watching this and keeping my mouth shut because i knew exactly how this was going to play out. I thought it would be funny. I thought it would make me happy to see her destroy her self after everything she put me and my kids through.
Its not, though. Shes living out of a hotel, pretty sure shes on drugs, rarely sees her kids (by her own choosing, the only times i have denied access to them is if she refuses to meet me half way on getting them to her) and has had more jobs over this 3 year stretch than i have had in my entire life. I can easily see a scenario where she is dead in the next few years. I thought it would be good for my oldest to learn for himself what a train wreck of a person his mother is, it hasnt been. My 4yo daughter doesnt even really understand what role a mother should play in her life because shes essentially never had one. I know they love their mom and i dont disparage her in front of them, i actually never even talk about her to them unless they ask me something directly. Even then i kind of just avoid/pacify.
All of that said, the situation sucks. Ive been waiting for this moment and now that its here its extremely depressing. Like, my sons last regular season football game is this afternoon and she hasnt even attempted to make one of them and i know he's going to be devastated (again, just like he was the first game) that she didnt show up. It sucks to see a person you spent a decade with as your other half just do a complete 180 and turn in to something/someone you dont even recognize. Its even worse to see someone completely abandon their kids especially when youre the one that has to pick up the pieces.
Sorry for the wall of text. While i know im far from alone in having to deal with shite like this, i personally dont know anyone that has so just kind of venting into the void.
