There are a lot of fates worse than death. Condolences for you / your friend.

Such a sad story. Outward appearances can be deceiving. My best friend's daughter attempted to take her own life. She'd just got back from a modeling shoot in New York. Absolutely gorgeous girl. No one had a clue about the demons she was dealing with. The good Lord spared her and after years of physical and mental therapy, she travels the US doing seminars on suicide prevention in schools and wherever else she can.

I’ve missed your threads calling for massive government spending on our mental illness issue.

I know how insensitive this will sound, but when you look like this you live life on easy mode.

I'll bet tons of good looking media types or celebs feel rotten inside for whatever reason. Didn't get a role, got too fat, got into drugs, etc etc.

Look at Amber Heard for example. Her dirty laundry was aired and now we all know she's a shithead. Wouldn't be surprised if she off'ed herself soon.

. I used to be very very hard on suicide but as I have gotten older and felt with dark days and times my stance has softened. I still think it is the single most selfish act a human can commit. But at the same time as bad as things have gotten before I never once even thought of suicide. So how much pain and despair must some one be in to do that.

Why? No one should have to live if they don't want to do so. They didn't request life in the first place. Suicide is a personal choice that should be respected.

I'm just thinking, big city Tampa, basketball at USF, warm weather, beaches, and having big time news dreams and then getting assigned to some small town news desk in cold, northern WI.

That should make you homicidal not suicidal.

Another way to think about it is, how much pain must someone be in where the option they choose is to end the only life they'll ever have in this universe. Survival is the most basic instinct humans have, and to get past that to end yourself is something.

I don't think they get assignments...I think they get hired like anyone else. And I believe it's pretty common in the TV anchor world to start in a small town and work your way up.

Lastly, Wausau is a really nice city.

People would be shocked at the number of people on anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, medications to manage drug dependence/addiction. I work in telemedicine and see many more patients than I did in person, so it's much more apparent to me now than before. Then I consider how many are dealing with those issues without undergoing any treatment.

Mental illness is all around us and frequently it doesn't look like what people would expect it to look like. The problem is it still has a stigma attached to it. You're right, we don't have to understand it to have empathy for someone who's suffering.

Because they are fraudulent clowns. They don’t even know who they are. They let outside influences direct their entire life.

are you inferring that this broad should've had government money to pay for her mental care? Cause she wasn't a low income shut-in or some nasty homeless person that the government should be sweeping from the streets with force. She had the means to get help. Which she obviously didn't want. Which makes this "suicide" even sketchier.
I applaud your criticism of wasteful spending, but pissing away money on people who don't want help or can afford it themselves is as pointless as erasing college debt for a select few, or shoveling money to Ukraine.

I bet we end up finding out it had something to do with sex. Her fiancé was hitting some strange, her side piece was aboot to out her to her fiancé, or someone was going to release nudes of her.

Bobs and vagene are involved somehow.

Totally a thing. Those people who died with a bag over their head and their hand on their cocks didn't mean to be found. A guy waking on a ledge or doing Parkour and falls.
The line between suicide and accident can blur and the two names combine.
