This is going to be a relationship issue

I have no doubts

The fact she was engaged to be married is key

Yep…6 weeks before her wedding. Somebody needs to sweat the fiancé.

Just last April she had a FB post about the suicide of a local teen. Crazy.

That’s because we cannot walk in anyone else’s shoes. But no one gets out unscathed.

There's any number of things that can cause someone to become suicidal. Even drugs that are taken for depression can cause suicidal thoughts.

Sad day for her friends and family.

I wonder if she talked about something that certain people didn’t want her talking about

I know how insensitive this will sound, but when you look like this you live life on easy mode. Doesn’t make any sense.

Maintaining that image can be a real stress for some people. She was blessed with good genes, but it doesn't mean she wasn't battling with her demons. For some people, obesity is one, "frick it" away. Then, they are in a constant back and forth of hating themselves and not wanting to let people down.

Being pretty is a blessing and a curse for some folks. Especially, if her good looks was the only reason for her status. (Which it probably was.)

sadly, this was probably the case(not enough to off yourself, imo,) but a local news reporter is a pretty low link of the food chain

I know we make fun of this industry a lot, but the media (especially local) is an incredibly stressful and time-consuming grind.

I’ve heard of several anchors/meteorologist who’s have taken their own life for one reason or another.

Usually tied to an imbalance of sleep, stress from employers, and being far away from friends/family for years on end.

Tragic to hear of another one, regardless of the reason.

Agreed. I would bet anything that the fiance' was calling off the marriage. We'll probably never know. But to someone that far away from home, it's a trigger for suicide to anyone that might be battling depression.

It seems like most unexpected suicides deal with a lost relationship in some way.

A friend of mine committed suicide last month. No warning or anything. I'll never understand what could drive someone to take their own life.
. I used to be very very hard on suicide but as I have gotten older and felt with dark days and times my stance has softened. I still think it is the single most selfish act a human can commit. But at the same time as bad as things have gotten before I never once even thought of suicide. So how much pain and despair must some one be in to do that.

Richard Cory
By Edwin Arlington Robinson

Whenever Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.

And he was always quietly arrayed,
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
"Good-morning," and he glittered when he walked.

And he was rich—yes, richer than a king—
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.

So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head.

i will always blame social media for the rampant increase of mental illness in this country

i'd fully support amending the constitution to ban all forms of internet social media
