I disagree there aren't signs. There are signs but most of the people around them aren't paying enough attention to know, or they're not asking the right questions to see it. Are you with them in their alone time?
What people are like when hanging out in public can be radically different than what they're like 1 on 1 or alone.

ehh it's probably a lot more similar than you would think
I'm just thinking, big city Tampa, basketball at USF, warm weather, beaches, and having big time news dreams and then getting assigned to some small town news desk in cold, northern WI. Wausau isn't even really big for WI either, it's the 17th largest city. That can't be a confidence booster.

Poor ol boy. Unless he killed her.. cause this story has some holes.
But sure sucks for him. He's not finding another one like that.

Have a couple of friends who have lost sons to suicide. Both times over a breakup. One was also involved in drugs.
Doesn't take much.

The word suicide is with the intent to die.
Erotic asphyxiation isn’t with the intent to die.

Mental illness and the crisis surrounding mental health in this country is real.

baw questioned the difference between accidental and intentional suicide?

Fair enough. I'd equate consistent heroine use and eventual OD as "accidental suicide".
Usually if someone commits to suicide the use a gun, rope, pills, jumping off a bridge or elevated spot, etc...

Suicide and accidental death are not the same. That’s all I was getting at.
If you’re talking about something else I’m lost and it’s cool.

Can't be cured either. Only kept at bay with meds that have a multitude of side effects. Also the mentally unstable person has to be responsible enough to consistently take the medication daily which is a long shot.

Same here, but it just makes me wonder, how many people who committed suicide thought the same thing at one point. Like what happens and what changes? There’s no way these people were suicidal their entire lives

Depression. It’s not just being sad. It’s incredibly powerful and without being diagnosed and treated (with therapy and medication) it can be very dangerous.
Hope you never have to go though it.

It’s sucks to hear about suicidal deaths. But it’s particularly sad when they are so young. 27 years old. She probably had a long, great life ahead of her.

I went through it for the first time two years ago. I will never question something like this story again. Really hard to explain anything. Fast forward two years later and I feel the best I've ever felt.

Not buying it after that tweet. There’s more to this story.
