Will You Get a Tax Refund or Do You Owe?

I just finished filing my taxes and I owe $6600. That hurts to pay

Owe. Always owe. Plus what they have already got. But, I wish I owed more except us working stiffs are the only ones who pay. Lower and upper class escape.

I would prefer to owe (assuming I had the cash) than to be owed. I don't like giving those bastards zero interest loans.

We got a refund. Between kids, single income household, and various pre-tax deductions, I can get my paycheck withholding down to about $20/check, and Uncle Sam still have to give me a refund.
I might pay for it on the back end with taxes in retirement, though. But with the standard deduction likely being higher when I retire than it is now, and my standard/cost of living (hopefully) being lower than it is now, I will hopefully avoid that as well.
Regardless, I'll take the tax advantage on my retirement right now to keep more money in my pocket now and less given to the government. Hell, by the time I retire they may be taxing Roth accounts, anyway.
