Boys and girls, let me tell you something you will experience if you live long enough. A lot of the shite you fret over now you’ll laugh at someday. I know it might seem crucial now but most every damn trial and tribulation will work itself out.

Small unimportant things are often more important than what you consider big issues to be. Hug your kids and grandkids as often as you can. Take nothing for granted.

When you get my age you get more sentimental. Colors become more beautiful. Relationships mean more. Seeing a soldier, sailor, airman, or marine triggers a spark of emotion.

Watching children play strikes a nerve. You fear what future this world holds for them.

Seeing someone in a poor and destitute condition bothers you. You think there but for the grace of God it could have been you.

You worry about wrongs you have committed against others and how you wish you could go back and get a re-do.

So, you’re young and what I say might go right over your head but please do yourself a favor and follow the Golden Rule and stop and smell the roses.

Even though y’all are young and dumb on a lot of stuff I am truly appreciative of this site and in all honesty y’all keeping me young at heart.

I am way over on the downside of this life but one of my joys in life probably second only to grandchildren is checking out this site a few times a day to keep up with current events. Screw TV news.
