Yes it’s just a regular Silverado 1500. Nothing special as I was behind land rovers and tahoes. Only used Valet cause work was paying for it. Guess I was the lucky one to be picked lol

The valet people could never find the key to my truck this morning, so when I checked the on star app it was clear across town. Video footage shows a few individuals driving off in my truck about 20 mins after it was parked. So they likely had their valet friend leave the key in the console.

Yes that was me.
And I left my key with Valet. I have on star and when they were looking for my keys this morning I checked the location and it was across town. When I called on Star they were unable to shut the engine off or connect to my truck at all

Went to a work event last night and used the VALET service at The Westin Hotel, and come back this morning and my truck was completely gone. The thieves disabled my onstar and camera footage shows people in ski masks taking it within an hour of it being parked. Sick to my stomach
re: How to manage/understand credit scores

Figured out our problem. She had a card she was using and only had $18 a month on it and was showing 0% utilization of her limit. She thought she was doing the right thing by keeping it open, but was being penalized for low utilization the last few years when she got the new card

Is there a way to find any of this out?

I did reach out to a different company to see and they had the same information. It’s the “middle of the 3 scores” formula. They use and her middle score is 751 so we don’t get top tier rate, but the FICO 8 score according to the Free Credit Report would be a 790. So it’s a much different formula banks use for Mortgages and they pull from Fico 2 or something like that, but just don’t understand her hit and being so drastic from FICO 8
How to manage/understand credit scores

My wife and I are purchasing a new home. Through all the credit report websites and Chase Bank we have excellent credit (815 for myself and 804 for her)
However, the lending company is coming back and we are getting dinged because she has a low credit “middle score” of 751 for the Mortgage Lending Credit and that puts us in a tier below and is knocking us to a worse interest rate. How can you fix that or better understand because we have zero clue where the credit could be THAT drastic from the normal FICO 8 scores that are all coming back in the high 790s-Low 800s between Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion

Do you have any Recs while eating your popcorn?
Riding Lawn Mower Recs
Posted by Tiger328 on 7/8/25 at 4:32 am
I’m purchasing a house next month and will have about 2 acres of grass to cut. Any good recommendations on a riding mower that makes the most sense? Don’t want to cost an arm and a leg but also want something built to last
Upkeep of Ponds
Posted by Tiger328 on 7/7/25 at 8:06 am
I asked on home and garden and they suggested to reach out to this group. We will be buying a house with an already existing 1/2 acre stocked pond. The bank looks like it’s pretty well maintained minus a few little areas with about 50-100 feet of what looks to be cattails.
How hard is it to get back on track and what kinda treatments do I need to do to keep it up

How Hard is it to maintain a pond?

Been looking around properties and the wife wants one with a pond. How difficult is it to maintain/keep up. It’s about half acre if I had to guess
Trimming My Bush
Posted by Tiger328 on 7/3/25 at 7:41 pm
Used title to grab your attention. I have a bunch of holly bushes planted at my DSLD house that have all grown into each other and the front flower bed looks awful. I hate working around them because they poke the crap out of me, but they sit in the evening sun and stay green. What’s the best way to trim them and make them look even and have a better curb appeal?
Go to Deviled Egg recipe?
Posted by Tiger328 on 7/1/25 at 7:57 pm
I have a carton of eggs that will go bad in a few weeks and we don’t eat eggs that much. Thinking about making deviled eggs for a 4th of July party this weekend. Any good go to recipes? I’m thinking of keeping it simple but never made them before

LSU Fandom Runs Deep

I was on a work trip this week in Barcelona and my coworkers from Cincinnati and Trinidad gave me grief for staying up until 4 AM local time to watch baseball all week. They asked how could a sport be so important. Then when walking around the city to site see, we encountered 3 different groups who saw me with an LSU Shirt and said “Geaux Tigers!” And brought up how incredible the game was.
My coworkers quickly realized that we may be a crazy fan base, but we truly believe in our amazing program. Was definitely a fun feeling

Device to measure water salinity?
Posted by Tiger328 on 6/7/25 at 5:04 pm
We fish at the rigolets quite a bit and think water may be too fresh at times. Is there something to test salinity? Almost like a pH strip for a pool? Would be great to do a quick test then move on to a different spot or fish it a little differently
Would you Buy or Build?
Posted by Tiger328 on 6/5/25 at 4:50 am
My wife and I are ready to get out of the neighborhood life. We both grew up in smaller towns with a lot of seclusion so we’re ready to go back to that and raise our family in that situation. We’re at the crossroads of what we should do though. Would it make more sense to buy an older house on a plot of land? Or to buy a lot, clear it, and build our “dream home”? Thinking in this scenario both prices would be about the same
ETA: We are currently in Ascension Parish and looking to have no more than an hour commute to work, so surrounding areas are West Feliciana, Livingston, Tangipahoa that we are looking
