As somewhat of a coffee snob, here’s my go-to. Whole bean grinded then French press.

re: Post apocalyptic books and series like One Second After
Posted by Geauxnoose on 12/24/23 at 9:09 pm to WW
FYI, the One Second After series had a fourth book that came out on August 22 called Five Years Age. Personally, I would love to see a movie series made of the novels.
Synopsis:
From William R. Forstchen, the New York Times bestselling author of the One Second After series, comes Five Years After, a near-future thriller where John Matherson must contend with new threats to the fragile civilization that he helped rebuild.
Five years after The Final Day, the Republic of New America has all but collapsed into regional powers and the world at large is struggling to remain stable as regional conflicts ravage the post EMP landscape. After several years attempting to lead a quiet life, John Matherson receives the news that the President is dying from a possible assassination attempt, and is asked to step in to negotiate with what appears to be a new military power hidden in the wreckage of the world.
Pulled back into the fray, John struggles to hold the tottering Republic together. Facing threats on multiple fronts, he races against time to stop another EMP attack on the former United States and China, putting years of progress at risk. With so much of his work under threat, John must find the strength within to start over, so that he can save the country and the people that he holds dear from even greater calamity.

After 11 pages, I can’t believe no one mentioned Velvet Revolver. Formed in 2002, headed up by frontman Scott Weiland (STP), and supported by Slash, Duff and Matt (GnR). It’s the only legitimate rock and roll I’ve heard in the last 20 years.
One Second After Series - 4th Book Release Date 8/22/23

For those of you that enjoy TEOTWAWKI books, one of the best series I’ve read has a fourth book coming out on August 22.
If you read the series, will you be buying the fourth book in the series? Personally, I would love to see a movie series made of the novels.

Tell me about the Tigerdroppings website:
TigerDroppings is a popular online community and forum that primarily focuses on sports, especially Louisiana State University (LSU) athletics. The website was founded in 1999 and has since grown to become one of the most active and engaged online forums for LSU sports fans.
In addition to sports, TigerDroppings also features forums for a wide range of topics, including politics, entertainment, food, and travel. Users can create accounts for free and participate in discussions by posting messages, sharing images and videos, and engaging with other users.
TigerDroppings has a reputation for being a lively and often humorous community, with many users sharing insider information and behind-the-scenes knowledge about LSU sports teams. However, like many online communities, it can also be contentious at times, and moderators work to keep discussions civil and respectful.
Overall, TigerDroppings is a popular destination for LSU fans and anyone interested in sports and other topics relevant to Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.

Park your car in Metairie and Uber in. Surge pricing is cheaper than smashed windows. Why downvotes on this? Parking near the convention center for something like this is going to be a nightmare.
I would recommend parking your car at Oakwood mall on the Westbank. It’s safe, well lit, and in Jefferson Parish. The bridge won’t have any traffic on it, so you can probably Uber there in about 10 minutes.

Personally, I would do the walking/amusement park in lieu of the driving tour. All of the rides are included. There’s also free marshmallow roasting and hot chocolate. The walking through the gardens are beautiful. Also, try to go on a weekday or Sunday night. Friday and Saturday night is a madhouse.
