Pretty sure it was the politicians and the oil companies that have done all the damage.

Truth is the corps fricked Louisiana when they started guiding the Mississippi.

Some are good and some are bad

But for some reason caring about the environment has been politicized. Only loonie lefties can be environmentalists

A right winger coming out for the environment is like a left winger saying Trump did something good.

A vast majority of Louisianians are terrible about picking up after themselves, throwing beer cans wherever they finish them, and just littering in general

Hunters are generally amongst the most supportive of environmental conservation. No shortage of those in the South.

This is technically true, however, this is a recycled Ted Nugent/Joe Rogan talking point. Again, I agree that hunters are among the most environmentally conscious, but they’re talking about the Montana/Wyoming/Alaska type hunters. The baws down here don’t give a frick. They just shoot 80 ducks while drinking bud light and make a profile picture with them on their tailgate.

In LA? I don't think this state has 80 ducks total.

I agree with this. My point is that the people that actually using the Sportsman Paradise are the ones that not only care but also use their money to support conservation efforts rather that is Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, Coastal Conservation Association, National Wildlife Turkey Federation, etc.

No one here cares about the environment until it impacts their hunting or fishing.

And only temporarily. The BP outrage was short-lived.

You had a good post until you dropped in this bit of unnecessary hyperbole. A vast majority of Louisianans do not throw their beer cans wherever they want.

Pretty insane that people still think it's make believe but Louisiana is one of the most at-risk places in the world for climate change. Although there's multiple factors, one major foreseeable event is that the seafood industry will collapse at some point due to saltwater intrusion of marshes/estuaries killing shrimp/crabs etc.
Its pretty remarkable how fast it effects some places along highway 90
