well, according to this

Farming is bad.

Trash along the roadways

Truckful after truckful of single use plastic garbage being generated by local restaurants
Pumping millions of gallons of water out of a local river for a mega-farm built on a huge piece of clearcut land that was cleared for that purpose

All of this has to be a troll.

They are literally shitting in the streets, leaving trash and needles in the streets of San Francisco and the south is the problem.

In that instance I would rather have a natural longleaf pine forest with its attendant unique species than a mega-farm that looks like the surface of the moon pumping millions of gallons out of the adjacent blackwater river.

Yeah I would love to stop coastal erosion by stopping these fricking hurricanes. Got a plan for that chief?

Coastal erosion is caused more by the levees keeping your arse dry than the hurricanes. If the sediment in the river were allowed to replenish the marsh, it wouldn't be an issue.

Saltwater intrusion kills marshes, marshes are the development area for shrimps crabs and such. Put two and two together.

Still don't believe me? Is it just a coincidence that Louisiana has half the seafood output it had 30 years ago?

Edit:prime example of people who have no idea what they're talking about and have strong baseless opinions on incredibly important state issues

No region is immune, but compare the "beautiful, rural" portions of NH with the equivalent in Louisiana and Alabama.

I am sure you would because you live in altered reality. You would stop the building of a hospital if it disturbed a blind frog population.

I hope so, but people do not give a shite. They think recycling or not littering is something that gay libtards do.

The litter in Louisiana alone is really fricking pitiful.

Its not that hard to just not throw shite out of your car window.

The litter in LA is not coming from the hunters and fishermen.

Eta:

I saw some white trash bro walking down airline and he just launched what was left of his breakfast biscuit, wrapper and all, into the ditch. He wasn’t 100 steps away from a gas station but he didn’t give a shite.

That’s the demographics that is causing the trash in the side of the road.

I would challenge this, I doubt they are old growth.

quote:

Trash along the roadways

While trashy, not going to impact the environment.

quote:

‘Why should we do anything to help that stupid endangered fish?’
Louisiana has its fair share of dumb folks living in it and very diverse climates and when you rank states by the number of endangered species we are not even in the top half. Hawaii and California are the leaders.

I too get disgusted with some things, but I am not sure you are barking up the right tree.

I can't speak to LA but in Alabama and Georgia plenty of the litter and trashiness comes from hunters and fishermen. I appreciate that sportsmen are major supporters of the environment, but plenty of people who hunt and fish don't fall into the same category as serious DU/TU etc. guys.

And there it is. Thank you.

Perhaps the hospital could be built somewhere else? Or we could rebuild what we already have. Or a host of other ideas.

But, nah. First we need to ridicule the person even mentioning the blind frog because it is so ingrained to scoff at concerns for nature.

I lived in the northeast for about 5 years. Your statement is not even remotely close to being true. Sounds based in insecurities.

Yes. There are much greater forces in action than a reduction in resource.

International competition. Reduction of Workforce. Reduction in processors. Increased regulations.

If you removed the above issues, you would see production skyrocket.

When your poorer than dirt, and the industrial revolution either skipped you, or ended in 1865, you there’s no need for environmentalism.

It really is a new issue for us.
