I love how she went from barefoot to going “oh I better protect my feet” and puts on flip flops.

She starts the project without realizing that it's a structural wall.
From the comments: 'You can remove it but not without the help of an engineer, an architect, and a contractor. You would need to build some kind of custom beam to span the area supported by the wall and tie it in structurally to the two nearest load bearing walls.'
and
'Those are the projects you see on "This Old House" with engineered beams and steel plates and they don't tell you it adds $250,000 to the cost of the renovation to take that one wall down'.

I watched without sound but was coming here to comment on her doing that barefoot. That by far bothers me more than the fake internet clout or what I assume her IG influencer voice sounds like.

At least she realized once she opened the sheetrock she stopped and didn’t cut the vertical support which is likely smarter than 75% of other women.

'Bout to say, anyone who has ever watched This Old House knows you don't just start tearing out walls. There's always a support structure that needs rebuilding.

This thread title started off so promisingly, but then…

Women getting involved in any kind of renovation is just a headache. I hate working on anything with my fiancee around, endless pointless questions and comment.

Doing even light demo work barefoot is a choice…
