I can see COVID possibly being an OSHA recordable at a hospital, but a plant? That's crazy! Not saying I don't believe you, just that it's nuts.
Your wife needs to explore her options, but I'm sure she knows that.

Alot worse than any flu I've had. There are many variations of the flu though. 40 and work in healthcare. Earlier in the week I took some old Percocet just for the body aches and headache. It just felt like it was never ending. Kind of seems that you will be better the next day but then you feel worse.
And btw my work is paying me under mandatory quarantine.

Better part of each morning I’m doing C19 crap. I can’t see how we can get hit with recordable and a hospital, knowingly putting people at risk doesn’t.

I’ve noticed in my journey through healthcare that most professions are very tribal but not nursing. I see them throw each other under the bus or hang them out to try far more than is normal
It's overwhelmingly women, so it's not surprising. Best bet is to stay out of it and job hop frequently to get raises and just away from then in general.
We're not getting a thing out of this and will be forced to use our PTO if we're quarantined. Pretty shitty IMO.

Covid isn’t sexually transmitted. We have been avoiding close face to face contact since she started working the unit.

Yes

Not only does she not get any preferential treatment for testing she does not get sick pay if she is sick. Also found out today her employer is cutting hazard pay.
You mean in the $2 trillion pork package our politicians didn’t make sure to financially protect frontline employees that get the virus everyone is worried about? I’m shocked! Shocked, I say!

What unit is your wife on? Mine is observations unit. Her floor is 3rd in line to receive Covid patients. So far only 11 patients at her hospital have it. Strange times at the hospital. She's been cancelled two shifts in a row because they're so slow right now. Funny how people can just not get sick enough to go to the hospital when they want.

She'll almost certainly pull through.
What years were you in the GBFTL?

When I tell people this they are completely baffled as they believe that all hospitals are completely overrun at the moment. My wife got to stay home and play secretary for me yesterday since they have such a low census right now.

Wife's hospital does this points shite and she's a salaried case manager. It's horrible

Looks like a few folks in this thread either had it, have it, or have a family member with it.
I remember back on March 15 when a doctor posted on here:
Our local church still had services today
Most people on here might still fall in that category, depending on how you define community, but the prediction is looking suspect two weeks later.
The post surprised me at the time because it was contrary to what we were hearing from politicians and the media. I was really hoping this poster was right.

Crazy, right?
