Our local church still had services today

and it’s chock full of elderly people with medical conditions. They do greet your neighbor where people spend like two minutes shaking hands and then the pastor shakes hands with everyone on the way out. Ugh, what can you do? We stayed home but couldn’t force others to protect themselves from unnecessary exposure.

When the government locks everything down next week, stuff like this will be why.

They’re in God’s hands now.

Our church has not cancelled any services. There’s really no need.

It's almost like we have a 1st amendment guaranteeing their ability to do just that.

So you weren’t there today?
So you don’t know if the elderly were there or if they shook hands as you entered?
Churches had plans in place to have doors propped open, remind people about distancing & not do the greeting time

Jesus will save them
Or they will get off the SS entitlement tit by way of croaking

Given that 95% of those elderly people alternate between the news and the weather channel then they know the risk and still chose. That is freedom my friend

Maybe their faith is more important than their life?

Mine too, but it’s online.

Most people on here won’t have a case in their communities and won’t know a single person with the virus.
Crazy, right?

A lot of money the church won't be seeing if they cancel services.

We had Mass but used extra safety protocols. Only the priest received Precious Blood. There was no collection plate (two large baskets were at the entrance instead). No handshakes for the Sign of Peace.
