Only for employers with less than 500 employees.

ETA: We are fine financially it’s just the principal that pisses me off.

I’m just waiting for my wife to come home with it. Sister got exposed to it last Monday, she’s in quarantine, has good days and bad. Niece has it also, very mild symptoms. And she’s pregnant.

You going to stay at house? Not sure what I’m going to do if she gets it. Nobody has given me any guidance.

Yes I’m staying home luckily my job can be done 100% from home and I work for a great company. I feel for so many who aren’t as lucky right now. .

Well, I assume y'all are pretty young and she'll beat it brother. Don't stress too much about it if you can help it.

Make the kids breakfast tomorrow morning and leave mom isolated. Tell them she's in timeout if they are really little.

Then what is the big deal? Not post-worthy.

Female, under 30 and in good health = no problem with Covid-19.

Female nurse, under 30 in good health. Sounds like pics would be a treat. How about it? Scrubs and a tramp stamp would be goat

Wish you and your wife the best. Seriously. With that said, without a test what makes you so sure it is COVID and not the flu. I had a similar bout with the exact same symptoms 1.5 weeks before Mardi Gras and everybody tells me I'm crazy for thinking I may have had it.

Nothing at all. I’m praying for the flu. However I had both strands of the flu late last year and she never had any symptoms.

Serious question. Can this be counted as a work injury?

No official work response was we don’t know what you do outside of work. We can’t be sure you were exposed here.

I would have said the same thing after watching news and social media. I have a different level of respect for it after first hand accounts from my wife on the front line. Praying you don’t have to experience it.

She be alright baw. I caught the Covid two weeks ago and after day three I was back to my old self. Fever did spike to 102.3 on day two after I developed that nasty dry cough. Make sure she eats a lot of fruit to pump up that immune system and eat the frick outta that Covid.

Not only does she not get any preferential treatment for testing she does not get sick pay if she is sick. Also found out today her employer is cutting hazard pay.

That's messed up! Hope she can kick it soon. Many thanks to her for her service.

That is seriously fricked up.

Our hospital gives us hours in an extended illness bank(EIB). Normally we can only use it for FMLA approved events. It rolls over year to year though (I have like 530 hours in mine).

HR just said if we have to be out for COVID related illness/quarantine we can start using directly from our EIB and don't need FMLA approval and don't have to use any of our regular sick time or our PTO from the hospital.
