That was a completely weird situation. Not only them both walking toward that dude, but then also there seemed to be very little fighting him off when he is clearly a threat to your life. shite, after the first slash, grab your girl and GTFO as fast as possible because you now very clearly know he’s not fricking around and doesn’t give a shite what side of the political side you’re on. And then the girl doesn’t run away or get help either. She’s very lucky she didn’t end up stabbed too.

Ive seen so many videos like this. In real life, there are legit two responses. One, like this guy, you stand there and are literally so overcome by shock you let life happen to you. In the other, you become the Terminator and go ape shite trying to preserve your life and the lives of those around you.
Regardless of your response, this isn't Hollywood. Nothing good ever comes of these situations. You either die or you kill someone and then have to pray you don't get made an example of by some DA with a base to appease. And, for me, thats where the rub comes in; because the only ones who never suffer are the ones with nothing to lose. See: "Too Tall" in Chattanooga.

It sounds like the lady who ran up afterwards says I’m sorry to the girlfriend and then starts yelling the perp’s name (or at least called out a name) after she turned and ran after him. They are still looking for the guy, I believe.
