Look at China though, they’re booming.

Dynastic stability. A bad type of government is still better than a government that changes every 15 years.

That’s what 5 or 6 generations? Surely that’s long enough for progress to be made or st least something to pop up somewhere on the continent.

When you've had 50 government regimes in that amount of time there's going to be no progress. Look at any civilization that has an ever changing government. Additionally, advancement a lot of time is rapid then you see nothing of significane for quite a while, then another rapid advancement.

There's not really a middle class in most African countries. The have's make sure the have not's don't get a chance to climb the economic ladder. Country leaders typically stay in power for many years and keep the money flowing to those who keep them there.

The real answer is all of the countries that colonized Africa drew up new boundaries that encompassed many different tribes that didn’t get along with one another. Think of it as Sunni vs. Shia in the Arab world, but it’s on steroids, cocaine and meth. The corruption comes along with that once a person or group is in power.

I found a really interesting article about the colonization of India by the Brits and how it set back their development significantly. It’s not Africa but same idea.

LINK

Drawing on nearly two centuries of detailed data on tax and trade, Patnaik calculated that Britain drained a total of nearly $45 trillion from India during the period 1765 to 1938.

It's a staggering sum. For perspective, $45 trillion is 17 times more than the total annual gross domestic product of the United Kingdom today.

100 to 150 years isn't very long. Colonization leaving a free for all for corruption and instability isn't really a recipe for success. But according to the board it will be because it's populated by black people who are inherently stupid.

Please tell me how Africa was doing before the colonists arrived? Then tell me how it’s been doing after the colonists left.

There are hundreds if not thousands of tribes and many do not like each other. Throw in the gasoline of different religions, not much chance of stability.

.....they're gatherers. If all you've done for millenia is chase after your next meal you tend to fall into a comfortable routine. Bring home the bacon kind of thing. Nothing wrong with that. They're just hardwired that way.

Parts of Africa are one of the fastest developing areas of the world. China is outsourcing to Africa and getting a head start on the rest of the developed world.

It doesn't fit the talking points so I guess facts dont matter.
