It's half-truths for clicks. If he has an understanding of how Rev Share and 3rd Party NIL actually works, he should be ashamed of himself for spinning it like that. The example he gave doesn't show anything other than a top player being offered his market value through a 3rd Party NIL deal set up from the beginning which is how you're supposed to do it if you don't want that large sum taken from Rev Share.

It depends on what their market value is on that side. The staff has a pretty good idea of what will get through and what won't at this point in time. Delly is just speculating at this point, and he is throwing out some sensationalist fluff.
Sorsby was good for 2 or 3 million on the 3rd Party side. Then, he could pick up another million or 2 from the Rev Share side. As long as the 3rd Party side was set up from the beginning, it doesn't count against the Rev Share side.

If it were me, I would redact the school and names if I were going to write an article or break information like that on X in order keep from burning bridges. These guys need sources, and that would be "the more professional" way to handle it.
Redaction doesn't fit the sensationalism narrative that is rampant in today's media coverage. That's the unfortunate part about it all.
