Why hasn’t most of Africa developed more than it has?

There is ample natural resources for them to utilize but very little of the continent has grown into much of anything. Is it still because of colonization and the slave trade? Even this long after it has ended? South Africa is I guess the closest thing there to developed but it’s still rife with problems and unfortunately looks to be heading into a bad direction.

Below are African Countries that have seen a coup in the last 50 years. (Red has experienced one, Blue has not)

Lack of personal freedoms and rights. Personal and private ownership is a key factor in development.

100 to 150 years isn't very long. Colonization leaving a free for all for corruption and instability isn't really a recipe for success.

But according to the board it will be because it's populated by black people who are inherently stupid.

We haven't done enough to bring Christianity and the love of the Messiah our Lord Jesus Christ to the people.
