Well I'd hope Corey wouldn't lie about stuff.

Only one you fierce Louisiana protectors could dig up huh?

Couldnt find anything on auto insurance, homeowners, education, incarceration etc?

If you dont think Louisiana has drinking problem you are wrong. If you dont think the guys driving around with 5 dwis arent contributing to your auto insurance being that high, you are wrong.

Live in your Louisiana utopia.

All of the parish governments.

Wife's uncle was the general legal counsel for Westlake Group. (petrochemicals and plastics) per him Ascension Parish was way worse than Malayasia or any other state they had a plant in being it primary manufacturing or PVC pipe.

Per him everyone in Ascension parish government had their hands out for money, also they had to hire Louis Lambert as their lobbyist

Calcasieu Parish wasn't corrupt at all. Back when Ham Reid was sheriff was a different story.

So depends on the parish

Whatever the affect of the 200(+/-) “5-dwi” drivers, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the sue and settle scheme.

So LA is the only Red state to lose people. Utterly fricking embarrassing. Landry is a hack, all the politicians at the state level are crooks. frick all of them.

But we’ll keep voting red because life begins at conception

Yall just voted to not lower taxes on people and businesses.

And Mississippi voted to get rid of its income taxes which will allow them to join Texas, Florida, and Tennessee to suck out even more industry out of Louisiana.

A retired CEO of a chemical company in Tennessee told me a decade ago that if he could, he would move all manufacturing to Mississippi, I asked, what about no income tax. He replied that meant little what mattered was Mississippi was the most business friendly state in the US thanks to regulation reform under Phil Bryant

Louisiana republicans are old school democrats who switched parties to be elected. The Long Legacy infects both parties.

The legacy of Huey P Long and the entitlement mentality of some, even many in Louisiana is decades old but diminishing.

This is likely bullshite because Tennessee has a corporate income tax and a franchise tax. Cool made up story though

You will not get any argument from me there. Long is revered by many, but not by me. In his case, the “savior” was worse than the “oppressors.”

Bottom line. Its our politics. It doesn't matter what party is in office its the same bullshite. The "good ole boy" politics still runs the show. Nothing gets done without someone related to some elected state officials getting some type of deal or contract. And those who get those deals then return the favor by being big donors to their campaigns. Anyone from out of state who wants to do business here will get milked for whatever they can get out of them, as a result, no one really looks to Louisiana to do business.

All politicians are self serving. Louisiana politicians are just a little more self serving.

I'd rather keep an income tax than shift it over to property taxes.

Republicans policies.

New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport all disagree.
But yes even our pretend republicans suck in this state.
