Very boomer of you. I’m an older millennial and the fluorescent light office drone life had me burnt out. Thankfully, my work product and work environment allow me to be flexible and work where and when I want.
I also prefer natural light and take my phone calls from ear buds. Suck it Greg

Gen X, I work with 3 large windows and 3 HD monitors i stare at. When it gets dark the monitors provide all the light I need while not killing my eyes for 10-12 hours a day

Perhaps I failed to mention that these young people are attorneys. Out of school less than 2 years.
Attorneys who leave at 5 are not employed very long.

The idea that you think this philosophy is universal across all fields and career levels is hilarious.
You think new law associates at big firms or investment bankers are leaving at 5 p.m.?
At some of these firms, they're lucky to leave at 10 p.m.

I'm Gen X and I leave the fluorescent lights off, too. I'd rather have sunlight through the window and a lamp on. It's more calming.

This Millennial has a dimmer switch on every light in his house and hates fluorescent lighting. If I didn’t have windows, I would fill my office with lamps and turn that overhead abomination off.

Obviously if you are an hourly worker who gets overtime, this is a different conversation.
