Feeding kids a bunch of sugar for breakfast doesn't seem to be working

Some people are just feral. And we coddle them vs making them accountable.

It is always someone else's fault. Absolutely no accountability whatsoever. It is a mindset ingrained in their heads from birth.

These youths need opportunities. Chances to be enrolled in safe after school programs

There are lots of people making lots of money trying to 'help' who would lose their jobs if the kids actually succeeded. It's not that hard to figure out why racism, homelessness, etc. are getting worse.

some will say their parents are shite, well that’s true too! But it doesn’t excuse it at all.
If your parents are horrible people providing a terrible example, it's not easy to break out of that. And in even worse situations, they are not just horrible examples, but actively teach that behavior. It's extremely difficult to break that. I agree it isn't something that should just excuse the behavior. But it's also extremely difficult to influence a child to take the right path when the parents have influenced them for their whole lives up to that point.
It's my biggest gripe when people complain about funding for poor performing schools. You could throw all the money you want and you will not make a school in a bad area good if the parents aren't directing the children to utilized the resource.

1. We need to stop incentivizing having children out of wedlock as a way of life.

Remove everything LBJ did with his war on poverty

Ok but now it’s 500 years into the future. Once can close their eyes and think of a lovely breakfast and it’s in front of them in minutes. Literally everything is taken care of for us.
Some time between now and then, we’re going to have to end the bullshite. There will come a time, where even the left cannot sit back and make excuses.

It shouldn’t take more than an afternoon to prove who is keeping those things alive and how.

We don't pretend they are hopeless.....they and their family members do because it's harder to get through high school, college and work for years.

Edit: I should add that the kids actually WANTED to become drug dealers, because they looked up to "uncles" or other older males that seemed to have money or prestige in their circles.
People who have never spent time around this population refuse to believe this, and I realize I was the same way, too. Eye opening doesn't begin to describe it. It's a thing.
Ask these kids what they want to be when they grow up and it's a rapper or a pro basketball player, never mind the fact that they neither rap nor play basketball currently. It was like this 25 years ago. Rinse, repeat.

Since WHEN is rap or sportsball the only way a kid can make it in life? Ticked me off.
It's not, but they've been conditioned to believe that is their only option

How will you fix the situation when their parents do not value education?
Good luck, you will quit before they do.

You can't live the glamorous "get rich quick" lifestyle portrayed in rap culture by joining the military, earning a degree or starting a legit business. How else you gonna get that fresh drip, Hellcat Charger, Iphone 17 and Hyabusa at 17 years old?

Because the main pillar of being a modern progressive democrat is victimhood.
It is alot easier to be a victim rather than take the amazing opportunity one has being born in America and working one’s way out of a bad situation.
Those people and every single person they know plus 100% of their messaging reinforces this mindset…and then stupid white liberals let their white guilt consume them and they perpetuate the message.

You’re right. We give them free rent, free food, free education, tons of free mentoring and free college programs for them.
Victim mentality is just the preferred playing card.
