It would be interesting to get a breakdown on who upvotes and who downvotes your post.
I know that it would be quite revealing.
Your post is 100% spot on.

No lifted truck, and no truck nuts.. But I do enjoy not having to fill up at the gas station as often as I use to..

Would not be surprised if you drove a 2009 prius, with a "coexist" sticker on the back

Sure but that’s not the whole point…if it were Biden going into Iran and the end result was this, people here would be screaming bloody murder, as they did when gas prices were high under he and Obama

Since it’s Trump it’s “eh suck it up! This is an 8D chess move! Iran was totes about to nuke us!”

Call balls and strikes the same

I get it, you need everything to be political. It just so happens that I wasn't talking about politics at all because unlike many, I realize the president doesn't control gas prices.

I would make the exact same comments if Biden were president, you're completely off base. Gas hasn't been a large part of the average person's monthly spend, probably ever, but it's one of the most complained about items on a day to day basis.

Meanwhile, people spend ridiculous amounts of money on various other things without batting an eye. They'll pay $12 for a margarita no problem, $12 more at the pump is the end of the world.

I sure don’t. In fact I hate those people

I also hate when people do this because
A) said person is not purchasing 15-20 gallons a week on this discretionary item. You aren’t comparing apples to apples there.
B) it’s an assumption that person bitching about gas spends money terribly and needs to make cuts elsewhere.

Typically not, but in this instance actions have a pretty direct correlation to the prices.

I have no problem with anyone who claims that a 20% or more increase in the cost of gas isn't a big deal... as long as that person had exactly the same opinion in 2022.

Because Americans are addicted to cheap stuff at the cost of their freedom. It's how Chyna killed the American manufacturing industry.

And now the boogie man is "Well if it's made in America you'll have to pay more for it.."

The median Louisiana household is currently paying 4.73% of their weekly income for a fill-up (represented by a 15-gallon tank of gas) at the current price of $3.90. For minimum-wage earners in Louisiana, it takes 20.16% of the weekly paycheck to pay for a tank of gas.

At some point people have to make the decision. A $12 marg or gas for the truck. Wont be both soon.

The hit to wallets isn't just what an individual pays at the pump.

It's that guys like my brother, who owns a small trucking company, are currently having to significantly raise prices to transport Florida produce, flour and cooking oil and Hyundai/Mercedes parts etc

But everyone knows that.

Voted for a promise to make fuel and food/products that depend on fuel more affordable.

Instead I got Joe 2.0. And this motherfcker is now talking about how even if the barrel went up to 200-300 that would be the price he is willing to pay.

Sure, it's a good gig when you can do insider trades and make billions on the fluctuations you can create. The rest of us are now paying more for everything because of his compromised arse.

Let's not pretend the turnip ice cream fan didn't have everyone paying $4.50 gallon/year with rocketing prices on everything.

Autopen vegetable was awful, but what we got with this Trump 2.0 is nothing short of a betrayal. He took a movement and shat on it it and blackpilled a whole lot of independent voters. The MAHA and independs he wont over he just flushed away.

The reality is the two party system has failed. They're both owned by the same interests.
