The FDA was created so that Heinz could make ketchup without competition. Literally paid off politicians to create a new government department because their patent didn't cover basic ketchups did need 57 ingrediants
re: How much of a scam is the dentist?
Posted by shotskimakesmysat on 6/18/26 at 12:57 pm to Randall Savauge
The last two dental plans I have been on have been hugely disappointing.
Our "health" insurance plan is HDHP, so we have a HSA. I use the HSA to self insure for dental work. Best insurance I have ever had. lol.

I had one dentist a few years ago get mad when I said no to all her add-ons while i was in the chair before she started poking around. My mouth was stabbed repeatedly. Needless to say, never went back to her.

The only way this works is if they spend that 300 billion to move certain residents out of the state

We do not accrue time, therefore none of it has to be paid out. Genius owners!

Real Job?! I graduated LSU in 08 and have a job, but is it real? That is still up for debate.

re: Lafayette dinner recommendations
Posted by shotskimakesmysat on 3/31/26 at 1:26 pm to Decker
Charley G's, Mazen or Imonelli's (Fancy Casual) would be my recommendation as they are more my type of food.
Mazen Grill (Fancy Casual ) is one of my favorites. Crabmeat on everything! Weird blend of Seafood and Lebanese. Put an order for the dessert souffle when you get there because it takes 45 minutes but so good.
Mandez's (casual) is great. can get seafood or simple burgers.
Fezzo’s (in Scott) (Casual) if you want to keep your trip the shortest. Huge Menu.
Bon Temps (Casual) is hit n miss in my opinion, but good most of the time.
The Cajun Table (Casual) is 40 minutes from the interstate. Great fake Cajun atmosphere and good food.
Unfortunately La Fonda's is not the go to anymore for recommendations. Margs are still great, but just not what it used to be when Lafayette didn't have a million options and they cut back no service and quality. But if you want to swerve all the way to Texas, get you some!
If you pick a place, ask me on recommendations for what to order.
Fancy in Lafayette is not fancy either. Just white table cloths.

Found the problem right here. These are not health problems. These are mental problems.
Let the inmates run the asylum and eventually you have sympathy for this type of behavior instead of condoning it and trying to get people to change. So now we are left with people being coddled because they mask their immaturity with "Mental Health" instead of putting on their big boy pants and use that anxiety to better prepare for the scenarios in life instead of sitting in a closet, typing on a screen, eating SSRI's and thinking they should have someone provide this for them.

lasting health issues. Brain fog, memory and concentration problems, dizziness, headaches, sleep disruption, and a higher risk of anxiety, depression, and PTSD — all documented in large peer-reviewed studies. Point being COVID can be a risk to certain people.

Daily SUV, Old truck from man stuff, vintage muscle car.
Thinking about trading the truck for side by side, but the prices of the side by sides are giraffe pussy and might as well have one that I don't have to tow on the road. Can just drive the old truck.
