We are almost 20 years removed from the last real recession. Eventually we’ll hit another one and the vacation home market will be reset.

Yes, very sad how little confidence the generations that followed boomers have in themselves. The expectation that they be given rather than earned is unbelievable. Boomers were given nothing.
Boomers are the kids of the greatest generation. The generation who served in WWII, including my father. They are the reason we don’t speak German or Japanese.
The greatest generation, the boomer’s spawn, came from families from the Great Depression. They and we boomers had nothing. Boomers learned from their parents of the greatest generation, dedication, loyalty and commitment. We learned how to go to work. To apply yourself, volunteer for extra assignments and not complain. They also understood the important value of a nuclear family.
I’m very blessed to have a father who fought in WWII to keep our nation free. I’m very proud to have a two parent family until their death. I’m very proud to be a boomer who has created much out of nothing because of my parents love and sacrifices.
And most importantly we’ve raised our children and grandchildren to feel the same.
For the down voters that will follow I’m saddened that you don't have the life I have and I will pray that you will find forgiveness and happiness one day.
