they were researching how people would react to a bunch of drones randomly flying around.

Hell, one thing that was definitively proven is that if/when it happens again people will think everything they see is a drone.

Since every drone is "authorized" by the FAA this is a meaningless statement. Did they also authorize the use of drones over Langley or the other 600 reported sightings over our military bases in the US since 2022?

Ground crews would be 1000x more effective at that vs drones that are hundreds of feet in the air.

Not at all, if they’re looking for a signature they can scan a much larger area much faster by air

So, I'll ask the question again......"lost nuclear material" is a pretty big deal, so why would they only search for it at night? I didn't see a single video of any of these drones that was taken during daytime.

Whatever signature they’re looking for may be more clear at night. Maybe daylight obscures it, maybe the higher rates of traffic during the day. Or it was only done at night to reduce the public awareness and potential for bad media or interruptions to the search

Is the FAA then liable for all of the people that mentioned they flew their drone up to investigate and their drones lost comms and crashed? That in itself is obviously a safety risk if drones are just dropping out the sky.

Yes, he's a liar and a nut. Or, he's gullible and stupid. Maybe both.

It’s entirely possible they were US drones being launched from a naval platform (drone carrier?)

They also could’ve been launched from somewhere else on the east coast, flown to NY/NJ offshore then brought over land for the operation?

What type of signature do you think they were looking for? Nuclear radiation?

This is exactly what they would do if there were some real UAPs in the area.

Flood the area with run of the mill drones so that most people see those and say see it’s just a drone.

They don’t even have to do that. Since the general public apparently can’t tell the difference between a drone and a 737, all they have to is let normal commercial air traffic continue.

rock solid intel that it was iranian drones being launched from a mothership in the atlantic?

I never believed that shite for an instant. As heavily protected as our east coast is, there's no way some Iranian ship would be out there launching drones over our cities. The Navy and Coast Guard would've been on it like a bum on a ham sandwich.
