Speaking of food, you have to go to Tico's Steak House in Ridgeland. Some of the best food in MS.

The cheese sticks are awesome.

Gotta make a trip back over there soon.

If you stay downtown, dinner at The Mayflower and Red Fish Jane is calling.

Colony park shopping area in ridgeland/Madison has a bunch of hotels around it. Nice area.

This is what you’re looking for. Just north of Jackson in the general vicinity of Renaissance in Ridgeland

I've worked downtown for 25+ years, the Mayflower is for sale as the owner, Jerry, is retiring. I hope someone buys it and keeps it going, but I'm worried that won't happen.

My family have known the Kountouris' for 50 years. I haven't been in a minute but I'm craving it. Place has been there since the 1930s and it would be a major loss if it shutdown.

Plus the best Cumback, bar none. I've told Jerry (and the lady who runs the cash register) they would make a mint just bottling and selling it.

I don't know about a place to stay, but if you're in town on a Saturday Night, check out the Dew Drop Inn. It's kind of a redneck looking joint. Just make sure you tip your hat to the lady son...
