Definitely not False River, St. Francisville, or Madisonville. Those places are all terrible. Stay away from them.

this was funny the first 10,000 times but it's time for some new material

So you're risking the lives of you and your family for 8-10 football games per year?

No thanks, I have a big screen tv.

Very good point especially considering my alma mater is currently the best team in the state.

Why Folsom vs any other rural area? I've been there before but don't remember really liking or disliking it.

It’s basically a Stepford town.

But white SUV’s are in extreme abundance.

most rural areas are disgustingly poor and far from any amenities and folsom/n covington is not. it's also just aesthetically superior to most rural areas in this state.

It depends on what you consider a priority and what your job allows for.

Where's the diversity?

Overrated. Case in point:

quote:

On the other end of the spectrum, I currently live in New Orleans.

You then go on to list a bunch of stuff wrong with the most diverse city in the state (which I'm guessing is what's prompted your thread).

Diversity for its own sake (ie: just to say "we're diverse") is a philosophical failure.

Covington for sure. Everything you want or need is here in this small town. Traffic sucks in the pm but lots of good golf, restaurants, schools, playgrounds, stores and no crime.

Up north- Ruston. Growing small college town with a functional local government. They just don’t need to f it up.

South- somewhere near the Lafayette area. Lafayette itself is getting a little to Austiny but surrounding areas are still ok.
