Just means it's almost time to hang Christmas lights.

Right up there with St Patrick's day. As in the best days of the year.

From Age 3 to about 12 it's pretty amazing. And then again once you hit college and shorlty after from about 18 to 23. After that.....I guess candy on clearance at CVS on Nov 1 is nice.

Probably #2.

I riding around on the golf cart following the kids trick or treating while drinking beer.

I look forward to it every year.

Plus, it allows the adult ladies/moms to dress slutty

Upon edit:

A very close second to Christmas, tied with St. Patrick’s Day, and immediately followed by thanksgiving. Then Easter. Then whatever else.

I drank mushroom Kool-Aid on Halloween night and then I freaked out wondering why people were wearing costumes

It’s a holiday for the kids. Fun to go trick or treating with them and see them excited about their costumes and all that.

I think it's more the case that we don't need a contrived day to hang cheap stuff in the yard and call it "spooky" and if we want a drink...we are adults ..we go get one or two. Great for the kids but the adults that plan months for this seem to really (in my experience) just want to get drunk in different clothes
