Thats why my statement was based off of trends and not an average for a singular day. In 2018, on 9/14 it was 94, in 2021 it was 78, and those are consistent with the average. It could be cool in early October, it could be hot in late October, but the general trend is that there is a decent temperature change around mid October, plus or minus a week or so.

We always trick ourselves and make ourselves believe September automatically brings cooler weather when in reality it’s usually around mid October. I remember plenty of cool September days. 2011 when LSU played at Mississippi State on that Thursday night, don’t think it got out the 60s that day.

I said on x that it feels like this year the weather has been off by a month or so. For some reason it felt like we had a relatively mild June and July and now in mid september its just punishing.
I'll be the first one to say I love summer when arrives, but I'm sick of this bullshite.

I literally don't know how much more I can take of it. It's fricking affected my mood and ever facet of my being. Here in NW Louisiana heat index has been above 100 for what seems like 2 months with almost no break. everything sucks... being shut in inside all day ont he weekend sucks, running simple errands where walking across a parking lot is so bad that between every stop I have to full blast air just to remotley cool the car sucks, paying almost $500 in electric bills when my normal is around 2 just for my house to sit at a warm 74-75 sucks
This is fricking miserable. To all the...well the heat is better than the cold people... I hope the bad things in life happen to you and only you! frick

Normally I look at overnight lows.
This Thurs the overnight low will be 71 in BR which is a big improvement from where it has been in the 80's and upper 70's.
Fall is coming... slowly... but coming.

Sometimes I feel like I'm in the top 5 whiners in the world about hot weather, I'm glad to see someone else in my league.

October is usually hot as shite in Louisiana. We don't get a real cool down until the end of it. Florida 2013 and Auburn 2017 games were ones with people dying left and right in Tiger Stadium.
