approaching the hottest Sept I can remember. It fricking blows. Normally Sept is one of my favorite months. Gets hot midday but in the mornings you can feel a coolness to the drier air and sense the death grip Summer has had is losing its grip.

these last few weeks have felt like mid-july. HOT and humid. fricking sucks arse

That is ROUGH.

What's the Humidity?

Are people required to wear pants in public during the OK heat dome?

The summer weather typically breaks in October. My favorite weather of the year!
Yeah but this used to happen in September.

It is a stagnant heat. I don’t remember a September like this. It feels like August…

then again June it just rained and was cool for the most part.

No idea but if the levee breaks you'll have no place to stay.

September is the new August. I don’t expect relief anymore until October.

After 2023, that's a dubious claim.

A "heat dome" that parked over the South was responsible for the unbearable 2023 summer. A lot of the US had average or below temp during that year. This year it was more spread out.

It’s been hot and humid but not any worse than I can remember in Houston.
Haven’t hit triple digits much but mid to upper 90’s and humid. Ready for that first cool front though

I hate these extended 10 day forecasts. I get my hopes up only to view the depressing news of both the daily highs and lows steadily climbing up. I don’t think we’re ever going to see a high below 90 degrees again.

What's the big deal? I hit 100 golf balls on the range today. It was a little hot, but I just had some water with me.

Dewpoint was as high a category as measurable today.

It can't be much longer though

28 percent humidity? 100 F feels not too bad IMHO.
