Halloween better be good weather. My kids are all the perfect age to really enjoy a Saturday Halloween.
Last year was perfect weather.
2 years ago it was hot, raining, and the mosquitoes destroyed us.
40 years and I still question why I live in SELA.

Man, OKC has been brutal this year.
With today's high of 101, Oklahoma City this year is now tied with 1936 for the 4th most 100-degree days in a year with 43! We actually have the chance to be in the 100s the next few days too, so we might not be done adding to the tally!
Sep so far, 10th was a fake front

It looks like Saturday it will not make it past 89 degrees.. But then I think Monday or Tuesday its supposed be 86.. But for me.. Its the August heat. Just one day after another of feel like temps over 100. And when you get in your vehicle mid day, after not having been in it since the morning. Those 3 or so minutes between getting in, starting your vehicle and letting it get completely cool.
And there is a thread about how time flies as you get older.. I think the heat is harder to handle as you get older. It seems like.. I guess up until sometime in my twenties the weather really didn't bother me. It would be 98 degrees outside and it felt like I could do whatever and it didn't really impact me.

Here in W. TN they are showing temps above 97 all week through Saturday with 2 days showing 100.

I can remember back when you could look forward to some cooler weather here when September came. Now September has been in a pissing contest with July and August on which month can be the most miserably hot.

I feel it in the atmosphere. It’s not a huge swing, but it’s getting slightly better by the day. I just hope we don’t get the door slam we normally get where the fall is basically 3-4 weeks. I want a 3 month fall. Is that too much to ask?

Do you know how many trees we have lost due to this? Brutal.
I have been using a deep root waterer to save what I can... I came up with the idea of selling shade. If you see a tree, hug it and tell it that you love it.

Historical weather shows temperatures gradually cooling to upper 80s/low 90s through mid October. Then there is usually a significant drop in temperatures and it bounces up and down, but never really getting back above mid 80s.

To the best of my recollection, Christmas Day attire in South and central Louisiana is almost always shorts and short sleeves, because it is warm outside.
