90% of the time you spend with your child will be before they turn 18.

God forbid families celebrate a milestone.

No, we had like 8-10 HS people crammed into rooms in PCB.

Things were different in the 80's than they are today. My class went to Fort Walton for our senior trip. The Florida towns have tightened down on the Spring Break/Senior Trip parties. With kids now going to foreign countries, a parent should go just in case anything happens. U.S. health insurance is not accepted elsewhere.

If your parents are with you it’s not Senior Trip. It’s chaperoned beach vacation.

I understand the age 25 issues, but you need to invent a new term for it.

Talked my parents into sending me to Washington D.C. my Senior year with a school group. They said "fine, but that's your senior trip". So that Spring I worked a couple of months at a burger joint to make enough money to jump in a van with my friends and head to Panama City with the rest of my class. Came back penniless and sunburned only to find that relatives had dropped off envelopes of cash for my graduation, so I had funds for Prom after all.

We all went to Panama City Beach for a week I’m old almost 60 but we partied it up for a week. Hell I went to PCB my junior and senior year.

We went to PCB as well...no way in Hell would I have wanted my parents down there with us. Mine was June '87, so probably not too long after you were there.

Heck...before I drove down, my brother gave me a case of beer as his graduation present to me. He even loaded into my car with a bow on it.

PCB.. most I’ve ever drank in 7 days. No parents.

I went to private Catholic school up until high school. Private school kids had a beach house and drugs. I stayed away. Public school kids had a room at the holiday inn with a bunch of people and alcohol. We were invited but opted for our own rooms (2 couples/2 rooms) off the strip but went and partied with them and back to our clean showers and beds. No one knew where we stayed. My risk aversion and OCD was even alive back then

We went to Jackson Hole later that summer, but we did that most summers. I had somewhat of a baller childhood until the oil and gas crash.
