I don't mean hot tub, I only shower and don't really remember when I soaked in a tub.

2014 in the USMC after a field op in Ft Bragg where we couldn’t shower for over 3 weeks. Got home, showered, and then just sat in a tub for a hot minute enjoying what we all often take for granted.

A couple of months ago I was in Vegas and I had a massive garden bath in my room. I was in there for almost an hour reading a book. I don't have a tub where I live now and miss being able to soak. It really helps my feet after a long hike/walk. I used to take a bath at least once a week in my old place. I had bath salts and everything..

We installed one of those ridiculously large garden/soaking tubs in our bathroom when we built our house.

Maybe once every 6 months, I'll soak in the tub before showering.

I don't feel like you ever get really clean if you're lying in the water that you just bathed in.

I do whenever I’m sick or not feeling well, which isn’t too often but for some reason it always helps

You are doing it backwards. You should always shower and get yourself clean first, then soak in the tub.

The shower is for getting clean, the tub is for relaxation. Who wants to get in a tub dirty and then stew in dirty water?

Nothing like sitting in a tepid pool of your own filth.

If I am particularly sore after exercise or yardwork, I might. But, I am sure it's been well over a year at least.

About a week ago. Pulled a muscle in my back. Had a long soak in super hot water with some epson salt. But on the daily for cleaning purposes, I always shower.

This. Especially after a grueling long run.

I’ll do a pre shower soak in a scalding tub a couple times a week to relax before bed.

Throw in some Epsom salt, smoke some devils lettuce, dim the lights and listen to an audiobook.

Very Lebowski

Until a group of nihilists break into your home with a ferret and threaten to cut off your Johnson…

Been a very long time.

But my theory on tubs is this: When you get in, the two nastiest places on your body hits the water first; your feet and your arse.

Then all that nastiness floats up to the top and when you get out you have a micro coating of gradeau and soap evenly coating your body.

Showers are the best.

Almost daily. Showers aren’t relaxing and are reserved for when I’m in a big time crunch. If I’m genuinely dirty I usually dip in the pool first.
