Kiffin thinks the OL could use more depth, I wonder if he's talking about Tackle, Guard, or Center?
Given that you can never have too much depth in the trenches, all of the above.
My dad was 8 in the Gretna area and says he remembers nothing other than the noise, and it's why whenever there was a chance of something similar - we got out,
It truly is amazing how many close shots New Orleans had.

re: Hamstring injury for Tyson; could "linger into the season", seeking “multiple opinions”

Not sure if anyone can realistically answer that but curious...like say after one full season of NFL training If that makes any sense the way I worded it
Soft tissue injuries are really freaking hard to give a concrete answer for. It’s almost like a guessing game of different options, lengths to pursue or intensity of those options.
It’s why teams stayed away from Tyson when he clearly has the upside to be a damned good WR1. We took the risk.

My first child... a son... was born in March
Congratulations man! Enjoy the experiences, there's not a whole lot better than seeing the love for the B&G (and P&G) grow. My 5 year, almost 6 year old, was freaking out about the Brees speech - not because he understood what Brees was saying, but because he recognized who it was and how excited I was about it.
May Shough be your son's Brees for mine
re: When was the last time you soaked in a hot bath

I don't mean hot tub, I only shower and don't really remember when I soaked in a tub.
2014 in the USMC after a field op in Ft Bragg where we couldn’t shower for over 3 weeks. Got home, showered, and then just sat in a tub for a hot minute enjoying what we all often take for granted.
Have had season tickets in the NEZ mainly because I wanted my kids to hear TGBFTL. Instead we hear and feel bass.
I’m not as negative about the environment as most, but it definitely isn’t what made LSU what it is (or used to be).

I just remembered Haley promised Yosh and Lyric safety.. What a bitch.. Reading a few things it seems like Drew is gone if he doesn't win blockbuster. But some stuff said Lyric blew her own game up in the last 36 hours.. What are you hearing/seeing Lionward2014?
Yesterday (I think?), Lyric more or less was willing to throw Mallory under the bus when discussing renom with Haley. Haley through it right in her face and Lyric tried to play the victim card, which did not work around the house.
So, Lyric now looks like she cannot be trusted when she was trying to maneuver herself to the other side of the house.

That's good to hear. Can't get much worse than the guys who were going in and out of the Zydeco roster last season.
In all honesty, they weren't that far away from better results. Coach Bailey did clearly have the systems in place, you could see it on the ice, I just don't know if he was given the proper roster control until it was too late.
We now own the rights to Green, Resar, Lavalliere and Giesbrecht. The goalie situation has never been better.
A lot of the same names are at least going to be here for camp with their PTOs announced, but I doubt Soper is done getting the size and talent in our forwards that might be the 2-3 guys otherwise we were missing.

Already looking like there will be a hell of a lot more talent/size on this team than we saw with the Zydeco.
Soper is bringing in guys who are SP guys, and many who have gotten looks at the ECHL level.
Lavalliere and Giesbrecht will be a hell of a goalie tandem at this level.

I'm hoping the new LSU arena will be at least in progress by then.
Issue there would be the price of the lease while being a very undervalued tenant. All LSU sports would likely come before the hockey team, and who even knows if LSU wants to play ball with ice management during basketball/gymnastics seasons.

Hopefully after three years they can get in a better league
In three years, I'm not convinced the SP will still be considered the better league at the A level.
There is zero chance of an ECHL team in the current River Center.
quote:
Nothing that plays in the River Center is a certainty to last more than a year.
I'm not a huge fan of Wayne, and I know it's outdated, but a three year lease with the only contingency being met (as Legends Global is about to have their contract renewed now with keeping hockey)? That's about as certain as it'll get there.
quote:
All that to say... if they make it to year 3, it will be a win.
No, all that to say - making it to year 3 is almost a certainty. It's what lies beyond that which is in question.
quote:
It will be a win if they last three seasons.
It's a three year lease and the only contingency is 3k butts in seats per game. They'll have no problem doing that in year one, I'd bet we're closer to 4k+.
Year 2 for the Zydeco still was north of that number, and last year really fell off (just shy of 2,200/game). That's with a horrific product on the ice after about halfway through year 2 and last year's 11-45 W/L record, as well as the ownership group legitimately not giving a damn last year.
As long as this ownership group avoids the severe lack of competence and care that the Zydeco felt, I wouldn't be shocked to see them not only make it three years, but secure another lease.
Matt/Andreas/Jacob are already lightyears ahead of whatever the frick Chris/Don and Barry/Kelly (then Don) were doing previously.

I am guessing they don't have the rights to the original logo?
Nope. Wouldn't be able to protect it.
The name itself came available, but a redesign of the logo was always going to be needed.
Not a fan of the logo whatsoever, and very interested to see how they're going to make those colors not look incredibly sus in jersey designs

True. 6 people.
You clearly don’t understand hockey in Louisiana. It’s okay. Just stop talking about what you don’t understand.
Andreas Johansson isn’t involved with the BR team because it’s not a profitable and successful market at this level

There should be no reason for any place in Louisiana to have a fricking hockey team That's the most anti-hockey place on earth
Entirely incorrect.
You mean as LSU becomes a recognized collegiate team by the NCAA instead of solely club this upcoming season? As Monroe has had tremendous success in attendance (that would put them mid-tier for ECHL attendance)?
There is a a hockey community in Louisiana, you just don’t know what you’re talking about.

Thst can't be the real name.
It's not.
Did it with the wife in 2020 for the LSU national championship game of the 2019 season. Things in NOLA were INSANELY expensive (obviously), and we knew that if LSU won there was 0% chance we’d be headed back north to the BR area.
We trusted the listing to accurately state a private entrance straight into the room. It was true. We maybe spent 4-5 hours in the room overall.
Very much worth spending around $100 for that night than whatever hotel prices were for that same amount of time.
Totally situation dependent IMO.
EDIT: some may have been able to beat the price surge a bit with planning. We had a one year old and stumbled on some tickets a few days prior. We took what we could get at that price point. :geauxtigers:
