In Scruffy’s opinion, this thief committed suicide.

Did you do dumb things when you were 17?
There are massive degrees of “dumb things”, and then there are criminal acts.

I'd never be a juror on this type of case if the woman sues. Even if it was a bad shooting, I'm not going to give money to someone who was in the middle of this type of crime.
You could do like the Dallas jurors in the garage guy playing rap music that was killed by the cops. Award 4 cents to the family. 1 cent to each child and 1 cent for funeral expenses.
Award this sister 1 cent for her loss, then assess taxation on it before disbursement.

You don’t know how you’d feel after taking a human life, justified or not, until you have. Anyone saying otherwise is just trying to act billy badass.

In Palm Beach County you'd have to get arrested for stealing 25 or 26 cars before you go to prison.

I'm not a bad arse at all. I'm just not sympathetic when it comes to criminals. Now if I killed someone in a car wreck or some other type accident then sure I would be a mess.

I’d rather he not steal the car in the first place. All car thieves should ask themselves if this vehicle is worth dying over.
Chances are the number of stolen cars would drop.

We had a lengthy discussion about this in my CHL class. I used to be in the mindset that if you stole from me than I was justified in popping a cap in that arse. However, I am not sure anymore because this is something that will always be with you. Is a car worth a life? To some, I guess it is. Now, I guess my thinking is I am not going to engage unless my life or my families life is in danger.

And all responsible gun owners should ask themselves if their vehicle is worth shooting someone over.
The Christian side of me hopes the number of "justified homicides" would drop.

I'm fine with this logic as long as you agree that the fireman begged to have his car stolen by leaving it unlocked and running unattended.

Glad I am agnostic.

I didn’t say you were. It’s a bit different when you’re the one killing someone though. Like I said, justified or not, that shite will stay with you.

Precisely what I’m saying.

Do these media outlets go out in an attempt to find the most ignorant arse motherfrickers possible to interview? Or does the media just serve as a magnet for these people to flock toward?

Person starts car and runs back inside

Interesting Read
Completely unrelated story I came across but I thought you'd be interested. Long story not-so-short, 21 yr old buys a gun and gets conceal license. Goes to a party and decides to carry rather than leave the gun unattended in vehicle.
Fight breaks out nearby and while attempting to alert others that police are on their way, he is attacked from behind. He ends up shooting someone in what he thought was self defense. He is arrested and charged with murder.
Dad says original defense costs nearly 150K and the civil case cost an additional 100K.
I also thought this was interesting.

A jury acquitted Bryce Fortier of murder and manslaughter. However, when asked to rule whether the shooting was justified, a procedural step that determines if a defendant should be reimbursed court costs, the jury did not agree that Fortier acted in self-defense.

Cop cars are often left running at the curb while they are working a call. I’m fairly certain they aren’t locked.
You wouldn’t say a cop was begging for it if only because any crook who tried it would get a bullet in the arse.
