Could you elaborate on this? I live in a Castle Doctrine state, so I'm familiar with the concept but not the details of the law. The "if the shooting is found to be justified" leaves a lot open to interpretation. Who or what defines justified? Is it spelled out in the law, or left up to a grand jury to decide. My point being that, if you live in a Castle Doctrine state, are you saying that simply by being on your property, a home owner automatically has civil immunity if he kills someone for attempting to steal his property? Regardless of whether or not his life is being threatened?
